Italy, 1943. Covert agent and elite marksman Karl Fairburne must help free Italy from the yoke of Fascism and defeat a terrifying new threat that could halt the Allied fightback in Europe before it’s even begun.
From sun-drenched Mediterranean coastal towns, to colossal Nazi megastructures, daunting forests and giddying mountain monasteries, Sniper Elite 4 will offer breathless emergent stealth action and unrivalled sniping freedom across maps many times the size of those seen in Sniper Elite 3.
Sniper Elite series developer Rebellion has today announced Sniper Elite 4. The new game is a direct sequel to Sniper Elite 3, continuing the story of marksman Karl Fairburne.
Sniper Elite 4 runs at 1080p on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and features the largest maps in the series. Campaign, co-op, as well as multiplayer modes are all making a return.
Sniper Elite 4 is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2016.

It seems hitmen are enjoying their stay here, first Sapienza and now this
I'm interested, even though the third one had an awful lot of problems, including the sloth-like AI, the questionable couch-friendly decisions and layouts which felt on the cheapish side. Hopefully Rebellion doesn't want the D., so we can happily try the ISOdemo.

I presume it's the Germans that you'll be fighting against again, the Italians were never ones for putting up any sort of resistance
We make awesome guns, the problem is that we can't use them
Sniper Elite, Rebellion's stealth action hybrid, is back, and it's looking more handsome than ever. Cut free from the last generation of hardware - unlike Sniper Elite 3, this one's exclusive to Xbox One, PS4 and PC - it's looking mighty fine,
Don't know what they are smoking, but graphic wise it looks rather bad.

Was this a feature of previous games? Was it well implemented to suit 2 players in any case?
I really miss good new co-op experiences.
At least not in Sniper 2. Don't know about Sniper 3 as i haven't played it yet.
i'm excited. loved se 1 and just played SEv2 recently. it was very good. not as good as the original, but had some great moments. incredible customizations both in difficulty and graphics. a true pc franchise. have yet to play the third.
From the gameplay video, it looks like a Sniper Elite 3.4, only with panther climbing powers and considerably bigger locations. I guess it could work if they improve the bad AI from the third one and introduce a level design that doesn't revolve around squares and deserts
There's the usual dose of nextgen horrorHUDness, with last known positions, wallhacks, markers, submarkers, pseudomarkers, and bioarrows from the couch-o-rama, hopefully it will be possible to avoid them when playing at the highest level of difficulty (otherwise, we're all fucking then)
OK finally got to actually watch the gameplay video , love that its more sandboxy (in EG video they even said that smallest level in SE4 is 3x bigger than biggest map of SE3) , boobytraping corpess sounds cool, great idea was to incorporate AC-like traversal mechanics, new x-rays looks cool but nothing. Graphics is pretty much the same as SE3.
