Ah so that was it's name, I think I've heard that mentioned somewhere else before too come to think of it although I did not know that it had such a use.
Two barreled over-under hunting shotgun?
(EDIT: Seems it exists in both the side-by-side and over-under barrel design and sawn-off seems to be popular too though probably not as a hunting shotgun.)
Time for a replay of Mafia 1 I think, not sure how it works on modern OS's though but there's probably a way, I've played through the full game but that was many years ago and it seems I've forgotten a lot in that time.
(I know I didn't like the racing mission and there was a pretty sweet almost bullet proof car even outside of the extreme mode that unlocks post-game.)
So I went to the listed wiki to check on modern resolution support, and to my horror ran across this: "This game is no longer available in digital distribution. Due to licensing issues it's been removed from the Steam store."
Sure enough, it's fucking gone. When did that happen?!
I knew I should have added it to my collection while I could have. It's not on GOG either.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I guess that would explain why they used a sawn-off for Tommy back in Mafia 1, bit more difficult to miss with that.
True, although technically it would be because the Lupara is the traditional weapon used for vendetta killings by the Sicilians.
Yeah, it's still used today in some of the most "traditional" places, though even those are slowly changing. The classic Sicilian mafia has turned into a broader/more decentralized organization, bosses now take care of their dirty business from the various big cities (Naples, Rome, Milan) with automatic guns and professionals...err I mean, politicians

Anyone played this?
Just downloaded it, didn't knew about it until you posted about it
It's more similar to Splinter Cell (feels like some sort of hybrid), but it's definitely a good hidden gem. If you need the English patch, I found it here
edit:
Shame on y'all for using cheats in the iconic race!
Real men accept the challenge, and let other drivers sleep with the fishes afterwards.

Illusion Softworks <3 That game reminds me of original Mafia+The Gataway (PS2) and Max Payne but apparently it's all about the stealth and without driving.

Never understood why people use cheats for the race? I had no problems with it, and i would not consider myself as someone who's especially skilled at racing games. Maybe they patched it (though you still read about people having problems with it). Strange.
I hate racing to begin with, the driving model is shit, and repeating all those laps again if you fuck up at the end is no fun. I only ever tried it a few times when the game first came out, that was enough for me to never want to try again
I replayed it some time ago and the race was super easy. I was prepared for frustration remembering the first time I played it, but I made in the first try, hooray patches
You don't want to play this shit, Dany. It's a derped Mafia game, made for the masses, running and looking like shit, with a retarded story and one-button mashing mechanics.
