You can try SilentiumPC products(Fortis, Fera), if it's available in Norway.

I quite love my Cooler Master Hyper 212x, cheap for the performance you get out of it.
Though I'm sure there are better options to be had if you are willing to spend more on it. Depends how far you will take the OC'ing but it should be more than enough for you.

Another one I was looking at, back then was the: Cryorig H7 (around the same price point).

Well since it's my first OC i'll probably "play it safe" if there is such a thing.

Whats the max ghz before you really strain it?

I think i'll set the budget at 600.- nok

mh you dont have many in that store, just put a bit money and go for Noctua NH-D15, its about 4-5°C cooler than the cheaper and older d14.

price is high yes, but you can use it in the next years again and again and again when you upgrade your system completely

towards the oc -> start with 4,2-4,4ghz. just read about bit about, about the vcore etc. should work fine with 4,4ghz with only setting the multi up and letting everything else on auto. but you can adjust the vcore yourself to get cooler etc

I am sure 16mb will be fine. They say 640KB is enough for anybody, after all.

EDIT: Also, if you ask me, 2500K is not good enough. But as long as you don't see it holding you back, might as well stay with it and upgrade when you start to see it stumble.

That's the thing. I can't tell if its my GPU or CPU that's struggling i just dont know what the signs are. All i know is that 670 is getting old and 2GBvram is not good enough anymore, or at least for me since i run out of it real fast when playing around with settings.

Don't worry, I think Mindermast has a bit too high expectations when he says: not good enough. Smile

It will be the GPU and you'll notice quite the difference coupled with the OC (for those things like: Star citizen . If you feel you want even more than that there is always that option to upgrade mobo-ram-cpu afterwards. You need that better cooler later on anyway so there's no loss going with the cheaper option for now. Smile

Well, my expectations were simply not having my GPU bottlenecked with a noticeable negative impact on performance. This happened on a R9 290 and even 7970 earlier under a 2500k running at 4.4 GHZ.

But yes, GPU first makes sense either way. Regardless of the CPU, the 670 is really not that good by today's standards and upgrading that will give you the performance boost you will need.

In general, unless you are running on some 10 year old CPU, upgrading it won't give you any huge leaps in FPS. It's more about bringing up the low end (minimum framerates) and getting some stability on top end.
When I say 2500K is not good enough, I mean it won't be good enough to have your new GPU giving you all it has all the time. More and more you might encounter situations where you will have bad framerates with lower GPU utilization. If this starts to get too much to ignore, that is when you upgrade.

Zotac is good indeed. 5 years of free warranty is a solid bonus. Wink
