So for those playing it, how is it? Did they change anything from the Demo? (not that I found the demo really long enough to see how it was)

Its a very polished version of stronghold 2 with "hero" units that are unique to each race (3 races total).
The one thing I hated about stronghold is that if you exploit the defensive nature of the game it would take like 6 hours to build up an army capable of sieging your castle, I notice the majority of changes here are balance changes to give each side some unique units so that matches dont always end in stalemates.
I still dont care for all the legendary units, but I really like the human "heros" and how they each get a special ability, its fun to coordinate an attack and the abiities are pretty easy to use and not super cheap from what I've seen.

Its enjoyable...I was just playing through the human campaign and the missions have all been carrying over, same land same troops, even the same hp they all had when i won the previous mission. Really like that I dont have to rebuild a new base every mission I hate strategy games that do that.
Personally I liked Stronghold 2 besides the bullshit economy stuff they forced upon you. In this game they striped all that nonsense and went back to the military aspect of the game. Like I said its a polished version of 2 with much less focus on managing your economy and alot more military options, plus the fact that each side is unique so you get some variety.
The AI in skirmish mode is iffy sometimes, they do make massive armies but they refuse to send them in all at once and they act stupid with their troops sometimes making it easy to slaughter them. In the campaign its mostly scripted so its probably not as much of an issue there but I'm only on mission 3.
I think the reason firefly took the fantasy route is because their troops and methods of assaulting someones castle were limited unless they added some special abilities like magic and stuff. The new stuff is an effort to add more strategic depth to the game, and I welcome that because playing stronghold 1 with a buddy of mine was getting boring, this should spice things up a bit.

Well I liked stronghold 2 but had it lamel parts, and Legends I like it is more action than taking care of needs.. now I love the feature this game has like traps, wall traps, you actually put troop on the walls not like AOE or RON <-- i wish those game include some the feature what stronghold has... now this how I always win this game build army of bowing arrow dudes and knights you own the game haha.

My favorite strategy is to rush with about 10-20 giants, they can easily bash through the walls and leave a good opening, then you rush in your maceman army and own the king.
Its never failed me yet but I notice you can counter it with lots of traps outside your walls, the giants will still get in...its almost impossible to stop a large group of giants from breaking through, but you cant win with just the giants so the maceman rush gets the job done on the king.
I just had a really long back and forth match where the other guy was making lots of swordsman and siege equipment. I had been waiting for the right moment to make my attack, I did a giant rush earlier, punched through his walls, but the macemen all died on the way to his king, so I couldnt risk another failure, with my resources pretty low and his army, and his sieging skills, growing fast.
He was humans so he had access to trebs, and I knew once he used them I would have to make my move because those things would allow him to punch through my walls outside my range. So he goes and finally buys trebs after about an hour into the game, he had a massive army of swordsmen comming towards my walls and trebs pounding it, but almost no troops inside his base, so I knew it was now or never.
I took my 15 giants out of my base, rushed right pased his swordsmen (slow ass bastards) and rushed his walls, smashed down his gate and 3 towers full of archers, then called up my 140 macemen and ordered them in. By the time they got passed all his swordsmen about 60 of them died, the rest were pretty badly hurt but his archers were pretty much gone so once I was in his base it was straight to the king and he was finished.
The skirmish AI like I said definitly has some issues, they are pathetic at managing their armys, ussually just standing there getting shot by arrows and dieing, but multiplayer is where its at and it really shines in this game.
