they never announced times on the past years. but as i said -> consoles was always earlier (9am xbox-11am ps4 german time) and pc always late (7-8pm, which actually matches the 6pm uk time rumors).
on one hand -> ofcs its good that they release it on all plattforms the same time. but the demo is old code, its weeks old. so why not simply giving a concrete time with the announcement? they only said: country and timezones may vary, starting 13th. that is a bit dull for a small demo

Especially funny because nothing varied, NZ / Asians / etc. need to wait longer now for their "global" shit. Using a VPN has always been fun, but it seems they got it all up their asses now.

Barely anything on there is accurate, it's more like guesses at this point. But 6 PM UK time was posted by the JAP EA FIFA Twitter, so I guess that's the one.

Fuck Origin, absolute pile of wank.
If you go here https://www.easports.com/fifa/fifa-17-demo and get the demo added to your Origin games list you should be able to start the download from your game page (after waiting 10 minutes for Origin to load that is).

@KaiserSoze666: Most likely Origin servers are at its limits. the new ui update got rolled out yesterday (and got an update today too) and most people maybe didnt even had it -> massive load for the servers. had installed windows 10 updates half an hour ago -> had to reboot. took origin 2-3 min to login again and then another 5 to start the download again. but the dl-speed itself is great as always
but worked fine. still needs 30min download. grr
@ivan: cutscenes etc werent capped @30fps with the correct settings the last years though.
gonna look into it when its downloaded

Yep download speed is always fine, but seems whenever I want to use the store on there that it just craps out constantly, even when there isn't a big release, and it's only a demo...
Just played a quick game, doesn't seem all that different. No changes to the menus, thought it might have been an overhaul with the new engine.

after two games -> i do really like what i see. gfxwise its not sooo much better than last year -> but the massively improved lightning is very nice. first i started it without modify my driver settings, uargh 30fps menus and cutscenes THE HORROR
bah, changed it. forced higher aa etc, still 60fps smooth as silk (and that on my ancient card) everywhere (ok not everywhere, intro cutscene with all players dips to ~53fps, but i can live with that)
gameplaywise: hard to say after two games, usually takes a few weeks to really get into it. but i like it, passing feels much better and looks way more realistic
@nui: use adaptive vsync (or none) and disable ingame fps lock. otherwise the menus etc are capped at 30fps and that sucks
set pieces changed completely, had one penalty. seems strange on the first try but i think its a great improvement. same goes for corners, will take some time to get used to it but it will offer way more options than before and thats fucking great

Waiting to check out PES, Fifa does look quite better, but PES' gameplay trumps it for me... probably just used to that.

There's a locale.ini file \Data that can be used for extending time. But stamina is an issue.
HALF_LENGTH=10
AI_SETTING_HALFLENGTH=10
Interestingly there is a FIFA_DEMO = 1 and if you set it as 0 game starts behaving like full game lol.
It doesn't load though.

ah and btw: the controls reset after EVERY match. not only when restarting the complete game. wondered after setting almost everything to manual in the first game and made a second why it played like shit -> all assists enabled again
