Why was a child let loose with a crayon in order to color in the textures and map on this one? This has seriously downgraded visuals as opposed to Civ V. Not that it matters so much, but WHY the step backwards?

Compared with the above video, Civ 6 terrain looks bland and half-assed. Almost a cartoon-like, childish theme to it.

Does it really matter if it looks more cartoonish compared to civ5? To me it looks visually cleaner. It's easier to identify all elements faster, which should really be the aim for any strategy game. It's the mechanics that will make or break this game, not the aesthetics.
