Exactly so the total price for the game was around $90. 13 years later $130 is not the end of the world if you ask me. Especially when we compare the games and the content in them. As a single price it is very big but lets not forget that this isn't anything new.

i doubt they send out keys, its an open beta. will be most likely just unlocked in origin (and for insiders 1 day early)
edit: oehm i might be wrong, seems as insider registred accounts will receive a key soon

EA, the true pioneers of greed-based policies. 
They were somewhat 'forced' to include those expansions in a patch for free 3-4 years later, because the user-base was both shrinking and still pissed, but it was only a small victory. EA then decided to take their revenge, by abolishing modding in all the recent installments (the main reason why BF2 was so long-lived) and serialize the whole thing to hell and back.
I'm interested in this beta and Battlefield 1 in general, but I'll wait some time before pressing buttons..there's always a catch hidden somewhere.  |

Playing the open beta now, wow wtf it runs like shit on my R9 280 / core i7 3770 nonk
It doesnt look that much better than BF 4 , what gives.
Like 20 fps at medium settings, wtf.

Think the resolution scale thing is backwards, 100% gives me 20 fps, while the default 50% gives me some expected 50 fps. Hmmm

I'm getting on my 970 between 70-85fps, everything maxed 1080p res. scale 40%

If the alpha is anything to go by, then 50 % resolution scale is a 1:1 scale with your resolution whereas 100 % is double your resolution.

Man im not feeling this, i was there for every bf game , the biggest cheerleader at launches...bf 3, 4 , bc 2, but this thing im not feeling it.
The performance is allright after setting the proper resolution scale but this thing feels more like that Battlefront monstrosity than my dear BF.
Im not feeling it.

So battlefield one still suffers from black screen of death. A bug which I've encountered in battlefield 4 and in battlefront... Basically the screen turns black 10 minutes into the game and I have to hard reset the PC.
Now this is apparently linked to the R9 290. Which is a real shame since It runs really well on the beta. Getting 90 fps with auto preset with a bunch of features on ultra. I'm gonna fiddle with it when I come back from work.
