Too dismissive, that could be used to explain away anything including most posters in this (or any) thread here.
But, I did expect that answer

People are morons, what do you expect?
It's not too dismissive if it's true. People fall for hype and the game has been really well advertised. Even despite the shit storm, console fanboys have been calling it the best game ever despite how heavily flawed it is. Then again, I expect no less from console gamers - they are so quick to call something "best game ever !!!1!'
its annoying, really, that modders are fixing this.
i mean.. ugh.. i get it, they want to make up the experience that they were promised by doing it themselves, but then it just means that the devs learn nothing, face no backlash, and can move ahead with their shitbag plan of paid dlc, because they bullshitted about what they were selling, and now modders fix the mess the devs caused...
again, not saying modders dont have a right to fix a game, and not saying they SHOULDNT fix the game... just sucks that the devs can bullshit as much as they did and come out on the other end perfectly fine because a handful of modders will work to silently fix what was wrong with it so that the devs can profit from it and not face any repercussions.
I might be a giant fucking idiot, but I actually enjoy this game for exactly what it is.
I never really paid attention to its development beyond seeing that someone was using procedural synthesis to develop a universe that we could then explore. Sure, a lot of the gameplay is repetitive and a lot of the planets are very similar, but I'm pretty sure that's how things would be in reality.
I agree that it's not the best game ever, nor should it be. I also agree that it shouldn't have been marketed as a AAA title when it's clearly an indie one, at best.
But all of the vitriol aimed at the people who are buying and playing this game is utter nonsense and doesn't do anything productive nor intelligent.
Of course, I'm just some dumb, lazy, fat, gun-toting, sister-fucking American...what would I know?

Thanks for the idea Lutz!

So. . . you really think this game was worth the $60.00 for what it actually is?
The anger comes from what they touted it would be and isn't.
If you're happy with paying the $60.00 that's fine. To each his own. If you pirated it and enjoy it, that's fine too. But, i don't see how anyone could pay 60 bucks for this thing and not be disappointed or even angry.
1 stripe purple belt in JiuJitsu (good grief this takes FOREVER hahah)
Well, all the obvious things aside, did they add some kind of search feature into the game, or bookmarks? I remember lots of people complaining that they were unable to find their previous systems because there were no ways to track back your progress. I sure as hell didn't see anything of the like when I was trying to find something enjoyable in this.
I'm gonna call horseshit on his story. Getting to your starting planet from the center has to be damn near impossible. He "set a waypoint" on his starting planet so he could go back? How? There are no coordinates, no directions, nothing to aid you to find your way back. And that's a long fucking way to go. I say he's full of shit.

Well and I'm going to call horseshit on the quality of your post.
There is a waypoint feature (yes I used it to do the same), and no it's not THAT long to get back once you've got further into the game. It is fucking tedious in game terms though.
So maybe you might want to play the game for real this time? I fucking dislike the game but seem to have done more and know more about it.
