I had one great fear about the game. I was afraid they would start pushing a typical leftist "poor oppressed" vs. "asshole oppressing capitalist pigs" narrative. But if what RPS says is true (I hope), then I will enjoy this a lot:
"Those themes of social oppression, individual freedom, and corporate greed, as expressed so haphazardly in marketing via phrases such as “mechanical apartheid” and “aug lives matter”, are less jarring in the game itself. They exist mainly as motivation for the various organisations you’re investigating"
---
I hate this stupid concept of social justice so much ...
Well well well. At least it's safely three fps above the cinematic 24fps threshold for the 970, only augmented eyes can see past that!
(In all seriousness, according to the various videos around, it really seems that the Ultra settings are generally indecently taxing for pretty much every system. High on the other hand should definitely be more affordable, without too many differences in terms of image quality...sort of. We shall see, so far it's a bit worrisome).
edit:
Wait, only 83% on Metacritic? ...nevermind, I won't even bother preloading it then.
Keep in mind this graph comes from a site that also tested DX12 build of the game, which isn't even available until September. Take the graph with a truckload of salt.
Why is that? I'll just backup it and then copy-paste Da Power Of PC Master Race

dx12 was available in review\pre-release or whatever it is called version.
And if you take a look at how AMDs gpus perform in the lowest available resolution you'll see that dx12 really helps eliminate dat dx11 overhead AMD is infamous for.(It starts after "1280х720 DirectX 11" in this gamegpu review)
It doesn't surprise me they delayed it lol.. dat performance is abysmal.

+1
This graph doesn't make any sense. I'm pretty sure final build's results will be different.

It does. It shows why dx12 was postponed. And it IS dx12 not just a placeholder.

Nvidia's results are strange but it's nixxer's dx12 we are talking about. They already showed us in RoTTR how "goodl" they can code when it comes to dx12 lol
And it shows a bad performance on all GPUs.That is in a pre-release version. + some ultra crap enabled that is not visible anyway.
