https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/4ybst2/psa_update_your_negative_steam_review_if_the/
That thread, those apologists make me sick.
Quote: | I keep seeing this. What in those trailers is misleading? Nobody will answer me when I ask. They just complain about them and then won't give specifics. |
Quote: | If your issues have been resolved with the latest patch of no man's sky, please don't forget to update your negative steam review if you made one. This game, imo, deserves a better score then what it has now. A lot of reviews are based on the game not working properly and those should be adjusted when they're fixed. |
Quote: | Im 60 hours in and every other planet suprises me.
Fully upgraded, all blueprints unlocked, build what I wanted and ignored the rest.
There are only 3 things left for me to do: learn all languages, get to the center, and explore planets.
The latter alone will keep me busy for another 200 hours easy, if not much, much more.
Fuck, im 60 hours in and still havent yet seen ONE stone that looked like another. Not a single one, and that after dozens of planets.
If the game stops suprising you after a few hours, then I wonder how the fuck you are capable of playing any other game at all. Those are, after all, the same thing over and over again, just with a different title and a different story.
|
Quote: | This will do nothing, hate bandwagon is unstoppable |
Quote: | You got hyped up for a game and then were let down because you took every single word as fact.
You dont understand how this shit works at all it seems, so let me spell it out for you: Until a game is released and people actually see whats in it, NOTHING is set in stone, NOTHING is factual, and EVERYTHING can change.
Review the game on what is actually in there, not on what you think should be in there. |
Rest of the thread is:
Quote: | Did you send a support ticket? |
Quote: | I did, they replied with some nonsense about tweaking ingame settings. No amount of ingame settings can fix a game which goes from 15 to 90 fps and back down all the time when I'm standing still and looking at a canyon wall 50 feet away from me. |
Quote: | So... did you try their suggestions? |
Good comments however:
Quote: | Yeah, don't forget to update it from "Can't run it" to "It sucks and I got scammed by Sean Murray". |
Quote: | Few performance fixes will not change the fact that around 60% of the content, which was advertised, is not in the game. |
Quote: | Never update a review, you are reviewing the product in the state it is in when you make the purchase. |
Quote: | How about no you fuckturd fanboy? |
Quote: | Reading some of the comments on here regarding the patch I think some might be updating their positive reviews (as in making it negative). |
Quote: | Yeah stupid people expecting a product sold at a premium price to actually work. |

Cultlike fanboyism mixed with choice-supportive bias is a powerful thing.

Downloaded the new GOG installer which includes the update and so far I'm getting higher FPS and much less stutter. Still need to confirm if the bug where gpu usage drops drastically (along with performance) after 1-2 hours of continous play still happens, let's hope not.

Patch works fine. Disabled AA, Vsync, maxed FOV (both), AF at 2, FPS at MAX, medium and high settings for graphics quality and... tadaaa! Almost 60fps on an ancient i5 2500 w/6GB ram and a 960GTX 4GB.
Problem is though, flying on planet surface always stutters and takes a toll on fps.

And in regards to the previous ver. savegames? Do they work in some kind of weird way? Not sure if im willing to part with my 41 slots spaceship and maxed exosuit inventory..

Saves work fine with GOG "updates". As long as you don't switch to the Steam release/crack your saves will be ok.
Downside of playing the GOG releases is that we don't get to try the experimental patches until they become official.

juvenile prison I'd assume
Also wouldn't it be just as unequal if you call it No Woman's Sky?
You'd have to call it No Man's/Woman's Sky or something haha
