If you give a shit about game journous, Edge gave it a 9/10.

I almost never feel the hype these days, but with the Ex I'm starting to sense some tingling in the lower parts (the non-augmented ones). Avoiding too much optimism would preferable, but dammit Very Happy Laughing

tl;dr version is basically:
while some mechanics were improved, the main story is shit and the game favours a rambo-style approach more than stealth, unlike the last game.

@The_Zeel Are you sure it favours it, not just makes it more viable? Because you'd get cut down rather quickly if you went in gun blazing. Then again, the only difficulty I played the previous game at was Give Me Deus Ex, and you'd die almost instantly unless you went for a stealthy approach.

Yep, if they didn't have to pay for Denuvo they could've hired dozens of the available awesome writers.

I am not liking the idea of playing Deus Ex Go to gain extra Praxis kits but I guess they need to get people to buy the mobile games too now in addition to season passes to get all the normal content that should be included.

At the 100 000 euro reportedly asked for AAA titles, they could've hired two more writers to work for a year on the game. This would have been very helpful at adding more of the liberal socialist agenda to a big release like this one.

I kinda wish the game had been kickstarted so we could have had Chris Avellone.

You can only get 5 after you practically master the game (you get 2 for finishing it). Besides, if it's anything like DXHR, you'll get more than enough to upgrade any power you want anyway. Very Happy

A place called GamesRepublic has this for $39.99 which sounds enticing. I google'd GR and it seems legit but wanted to ask here if anyone else has bought from them?

I read some other stuff and apparently its much more viable than before, without making it better than any other path, resulting in a more balanced game, so its a good thing in the end.

Nothing would beat the Stretchgoal Man, but in all honesty, replacing Mary DeMerle with Rhianna Pratchett would have been the most sensible choice here, she's already worked with Square on several memorable gaming universes, and would have provided a balanced view on the Apartheid. A fragile Jensen, you'd want to protect him and keep him safe, none of those distasteful sexualized shower scenes would be in the game, but alas reality is a different one.
