Might not be the greatest discount but it seems No Man's Sky is up on Green Man Gaming now.

On Steam it's listed as 60 Euro.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/275850/

And on GMG it's 40 UK Pound ("GBP")
https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/no-mans-sky/

With a further 15% discount down to 34 Pound, unless the Google conversion I used is completely off that's a pretty good price improvement. Smile
(60 EUR is apparently around 52 GBP.)

Haven't used GMG in ages myself though apparently some countries were shifted (shafted?) over to alternate currencies a while back so here in Sweden for example instead of SEK it's now GBP and Turkey got a pretty poor conversion too from USD to EUR which apparently lead to quite a difference in pricing.
(Steam apparently uses USD for Turkey.)

Journalists seem to have forgotten that their job isn't to generate hype. But I guess that doesn't pay the bills as much as praising everything pre-launch (and even after).

I just love when companies do this on every PC game launch. "Only x% of players are having problems, but we're still graciously going to fix them!". Well gee, thanks for doing your paying customers this huge favor.

Not to mention only a real idiot doesn't know that only a small fraction of people actually complain. The others all rely on that fraction for the developer to take action - they see others complaining and feel there's no need for them to repeat the complaints.

It goes to show what a spin doctor Murray is - a class A cunt for making such Twitter posts because if you look at Steam reviews, it's NOT 1%.

For a so called "infinite game", it shouldn't drop anywhere near that sharply if you ask me. Having 25.000 people playing a game that solid a million less than a week after release is bad news. That means, if you look across the day, that perhaps 10% of all buyers are still playing it.

To put stuff in perspective: I played 7 Days to Die for 5 weeks in a row, Empyrion for 4 weeks in a row, ARK for 3 weeks - a proper "survival" game such as this, hooks you for weeks, not days.

yeah.
plus if it was any good, more people would buy it and join in, but now owner numbers are probably dropping

But does it really matter how many is playing? The real question is how many that bought it did refund it. Otherwise Sean wouldn't give two fucks how many is still playing.

For some, for something so open ended and huge... not really. The decline is very sharp.

As to the refunds: pretty sure it won't be much. You can bet it was a success money wise for them. Not sure if their reputation can survive it... but hey who needs that with a huge cash in.

Tried the cracked patch on my GOG release. Works. Performance is much better on 1440p. But still CRAP on 4K.

EDIT: Tried it on my 1080 monitor. And the performance is worse on 1080p than on 4K....

Great game guise!

In the meantime Steam page still lists promotional videos that do not fit current iteration of the game, thus misleading the customers.

I had to start all over again because of the crack Laughing

Downgraded my graphics to Medium and the game runs pretty much fine. This game is not that bad for free actually Laughing
