Besides, M&B is just glorious already. Doesn't need that much "new" stuff rather than build upon what was already there. Flesh it out a bit. And from what I've seen so far, that's exactly what they did.
My only real question is, just what exactly is new in this one that really warrants a sequel.
Better graphics, better sieges and siege weapons, better towns, better combat, better AI, better world map AI, better terrain, a better UI/inventory, better immersion within towns, board games for 6 different cultures, there are now seasons that affect the world + battles,
you can customise weapons which in turn affects speed/damage/weight, and a replay mode. Plus whatever else I surely missed.
How much more do you need? There are sequels out there with far less.
Where do you get these info? Want to read them myself.
But even then, it won't matter if the game is still as buggy and unpolished as it was. I don't want to wait til the equivalent to Warband before the game has all the features and polish it needed to play it. They have 5-6 years to make this, better not still be rushed out the door.
I'd rather buggy games than most of the shit we get. Bugs get fixed, shitty games at their core don't. It comes with the territory of having too many features and a small dev team. Even big teams like Bethesda manage to fuck it up the same way, but like I said...
They said that they aim for autumn or something though, iirc. One can hope
They've said (most recently at E3) that they're aiming to have it in player's hands this year, in some form or another. Whether it's a beta or early access. Actual release is sometime in 2017.

Yeah but that's for the finished game. I'm pretty sure I've read a while ago that they want to go Early Access in autumn. Which was in line with what they said on stream.
It's hard to resist the lure of the theoretical giant pile of console monies. I'm curious as to whether it pans out for them. It's a niche game on PC, so I can't see console players bashing down doors to get their hands on a copy.
I was half expecting this, after the announcement that M&B2 would see a console version as well, releasing a port of their previous game in order to introduce the peasants to the franchise seemed like something that they could do. Alas, nothing is sacred anymore nowadays.
Hopefully, it "only" affects our waiting time, and not the future interface/gameplay elements, though there's always some concern involved.
