Yes, i know a laptop isnt a gaming machine.
However i have to move around alot at least for the time being so i need a half decent gaming laptop.
My question is: does a 960m run most games or do i need to spend the extra cash for a 970m?
the main problem seems to be that most laptops with 970 or 980 are 17" and thats too big to be moving around.

Either you chose a rather mobile notebook, or a gaming notebook.
You won't get both worlds for a acceptable price.
And how often do you have to carry your notebook around?
17" shouldn't be too much, if you are not build like a bean.
