Yes, and quite rightly so. You should be punished at least.

Does the update re-install the apps I removed? Does it touch the tweaks?

Well, it hasn`t happened so far...
Also looking under Activation in settings.
You Windows licence expires on Tuesday January 17, 2017. Contact your system admin
to get a product key. Error code: 0x8007007B
Do I just have to re-activate?

Yup, and I posted about these earlier. They can't be disabled either, and if you try to do so, then you will get the 'incorrect parameter' message.
The CPUUser shit, seems to be related to Project "Rome" Xbox SmartGlass, and it would be nice to be able to get rid of this turd altogether, but MS seems to have locked down that option, kinda like they are now locking down other options in Pro, which used to be disabled via the Group Policy configuration.
FUCK YOU MS!!, I now hate you with a passion!

or this one?
with the greyed out manual > disabled option?

I don't know for sure but I read they're related to the "app" software and thus a bit "special" and don't really handle like normal services including their full long name being some strange stuff like shown in your images. |
It is the unistack service group the one that hides a few hidden processes as well.
Have you tried
sc stop "OneSyncSvc"
sc config "OneSyncSvc" start= disabled
That is the command that turns off people, calendar and mail apps etc. Personal data collection app stuff blah blah.
in settings/privacy/contacts, turn off all toggles.
The info about the errors are to just ignore them as they are non problematic. If you get any in logs after more than one start up of windows that is.

Man, these background processes are getting to me, I have such an OCD about it. I know I should probably not give a shit about it, but having 45 - 50 processes running when I'm just idling the desktop with nothing open really bugs me.
Windows XP - I had about 20
Windows 7 - I had about 30
Windows 10 Pre AU - About 40
Windows 10 Post AU - 50
Fuck :/

No. I just want control of my system back, and rid of the shit running MS wants me to have, but that I have to interest in having. Simple really.
Their sneaky methods to prevent one from doing so, makes me even more determined to circumvent them.

yes ms toolkit or kms pico.
there are also some sites which offer stolen ltsb mak keys which can be activated via phone activation.you have a legit and working activation then until you format your pc again and there is no need for any kms tools.

August 9, 2016 — KB3176495 (OS Build 14393.51)
This update includes quality improvements and security fixes. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update. Key changes include:
Improved reliability for Internet Explorer 11.
Addressed issue to keep pen click settings after updating to Windows 10 Version 1607.
Addressed issue that may cause Windows 10 Mobile devices to hang after turning Bluetooth on and off very quickly.
Security updates to Kernel Mode Drivers, Microsoft Graphics Component, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, and Windows Authentication Methods.
|
EDIT: Probably undocumented changes as well, MSPaint was updated for example.
(Well there's always undocumented changes just as with those insider release note blog posts only focusing on what MS thinks is the highlights meaning usually just app stuff.)

Grabbed the RTM 2016 LTSB image, and removed cortana shit, telemetry shit, one drive shit, xbox shit, HyperV shit, Skype shit, system restore, and retail demo shit with MSMG tool at image level.
No store or metro apps in ltsb, so that saves me a lot of time
Left Defender, as it seems OK for now.
Let's see how this goes Will certainly be a lot lighter anyway

I thought LTSB had none of that - cortana, store, xbox etc
also HyperV = shit? Wut.
