We have a hard enough time to prove that piracy, which gives you complete unrestricted access to a game, reduces sales significantly.
Sharing a playthrough of a game through the Internet only available on a specific time and with some other hundreds of people, considerably less so.

A couple of mini-reviews from the PS4 version by gaffers:

Finished it last night
So framerate on PS4 really isn't great, keeps jumping between above 30 and what feels like low 20s depending on the scene and how many characters are in view. Compared to the previous games you can definitely notice some visual upgrades like new shaders, depth of field, improved lighting and motion blur. The previous games also never had as many characters on screen at the same time. (But that often comes with a frame dip)
Gameplay wise it's what you expect from Telltale with some extra Batman mechanics, like connecting pieces evidence. As usual there's not really much of a puzzle aspect to it but it helps at making you feel a bit more like Batman.
To the story I can't really say much yet, the first episode feels a bit like a primer and overall didn't really blow me away. There might be some interesting stuff but hard to tell how that will pay off.

It's a solid start but I have to imagine some are going to feel a little underwhelmed considering how Telltale games usually rope you in after the first episode.
I like the art style. It's the least jank-y Telltale game I've played. The movement and such is pretty limited (this is a plus to me) and there is some decent, but pretty simplistic, detective stuff.
It's appropriately dark. I'm not sure, but I'm going to guess this is rated M for violence because there is blood and some pretty harsh stuff which I was happy to see because a proper Batman treatment should be dark and violent.
The characters and storylines (so far) seem like really well worn territory. It's not really doing anything new with the setting or any of these characters. I was a little surprised at how little 'surprise' there was considering that is a staple of the TT games for the most part.
I'll definitely keep playing because I've paid for it all and I love the character but I give it a pretty modest thumbs up if you're a big Batman fan or just love these games.

I finished it in less than 90 minutes and pretty much looked at everything in every environment and didn't skip dialogue.

Time is still time, why should I waste it on an "okay, but potentially good" experience, when I have things I actually own and of known quality still in the queue?
The main question for me is also: "Is it something that is worth buying now?"
It isn't, so I will wait.
Even with the visual upgrades, such as they are, you would think a PS4 would be able to handle this with a more impressive framerate.
Most reviews seem to agree on it not being a particularly impressive start, but with hopes that it will get better as things progress.
I guess I will wait. Lorde knows I have other things to play.
Definitely, but that's Telltale we are talking about. Last gen their games also ran very bad on consoles (which again shouldn't be happening when you compare them with games by other developers).

Where is the game? When will GoG set it free?
