Ah, yeah. Lava planets are terrible. I was walking along on one of them, and I came across at least 3 randomly generated wooden buildings burning to the ground. I soooo wish I found an avian village. They are all wooden houses, the fire spread simulation alone would have killed my CPU. Very Happy

She actually. Just dodge or double/triple jump out of the way until she stops to catch her breath, then attack.

Easier said than done.
3 hits of his ball move and i'm done. Will just grind a bit now for better armor and weapons.

// Mastered him rather easily now after i upgraded my armor to Titanium level. And also build 2x Titanium daggers and spam in his face. He went down after 3 ball sessions.

Does the game have any options for customizing controls? I'm out of the loop on this one but I'm thinking about getting it.

Yea most keys can be rebound.
Just the mouse keys don't seem to have an option at all.

For example i want the hotbar scrolling via mousewheel to be inverted - not possible. Sad

And finished. Great game.
Even though the story was rather bad, i prefer to still have one and a goal. Instead of just sandboxing around.

My little ape ship:

Thanks Chucklefish for the game and goodbye.

So do you get those bigger ships later? Are those weapons on the ship just for decorations or is there some kind of space combat? Smile

I started a new game, the story is bland but it does force you to start exploring and slowly progress, its like a bigger tutorial. Well I did 4 missions, are there many?

@AnarchoS
You can upgrade your ship in that space Outpost, at some shady dealer:
http://starbounder.org/Ship_Upgrade

Cannons are sadly just for decoration. Sad
No space combat at all.

@Casus
Not sure how long i played. I mainly did the story missions and a few side missions. Took me 25-30h i guess for that.

Sounds like a decent amount. I need a story in this kind of game, too - so if it's not horrible, I might check it out.

The story itself really is bad. grinhurt

You can find quite some books during your playthrough though, that add much more to the background story.

Hmm, bad writing is subjective Wink

What kind of style would you compare it to?

I didn't say the writing is bad. The story itself is just not exciting at all.

It's basically

@AnarchoS You could also start a colony and the ship gets bigger once you hit the right amount of crew members.

What collecting?
There already was that pokeball in the game, that lets you capture animals.

Though i found it extremely useless.
My captured pets often just died nearly instantly. And then i had no possibility to re-use that pokeball again. Though it still showed the dead pet as captured.

"collecting (think pokedex)"

You just have to read more carefully Bob It's probably some sort of Creature Index.

I read somewhere, that more editing to the GUI is not possible because of restrictions.

@Interinactive You can buy upgrades at the Outpost but you need the modules for that (10k-20k) (the shop before you get to the Ark ruins or whatever it is / old lady place) or you can get them for free through hiring crew members (via colony).
