As of right now I dont have the space for my 5.1 setup so I have to stick with a 2.1 speaker for my gaming pc. The one I have has excellent sounds (its a noname crappy speaker but for me it sounds nice) but it makes that beeping noise when cell phone is near.
So here is my checklist:
2.1 speaker
Nice sounds
No beeping or interference sounds
No noise when just on
Not that expensive (80 USD at max)
Thank You guys for reading and thanks if you answer!
slightly above your limit, but worth it. best stuff you can get for that little money. maybe lookout for the c2x 2.1, same but without optical input (if you dont need one)
I have a set of Logitech z 2300 and they are pretty good for the price. I've had them for a few years and although mostly use headphones I cannot fault these speakers for the price

Looks nice, and this one has protection against those nasty inteferences?

does it HAVE to have a sub?
If you save a few bucks more and just get this set you'd probably be more satisfied than having a couple little shitty speakers that need a sub to make up for their lack of decent sound:

Well not necesseraly, the thing I like about what "Janz" recommended is that it has SPDIF so it might not collect "electric noises" from my comp, and that one's remote has a turnoff button too.
The one you recommended looks just as nice but my main concern comes from the no digital output and that it has a turnoff only on its back.
The one I have right now suffers from the same thing: turnoff only on back and once my neighbour starts phoning I have to turn it off since its buzzing that loud.......Of course if this one won't buzz then I would never turn it off probably

Sopmoething like this. Not everything needs to have a sub.
I am also looking for 2.0 setup. Just not as big and it's not as easy, especially if I want them to be active speakers without need of amp and that stuff

2.0, and I have these at my PC, with no sub woof needed, great quality, great sound
They auto-sleep when not in use also
I've heard these are better than their more expensive version T40.
Those are indeed cheap but I never like how they looked too much. Reminds me of some early 2000
