Throughout Rise of the Tomb Raider we’ve seen Lara Croft rise to a world fiercely protecting its secrets while overcoming a ruthless organization known as Trinity, prevail over the brutal conditions of Siberia in the ultimate woman-versus-wild tests of stamina in Endurance Mode, and most recently navigate through myth and reality in conquering the curse of Baba Yaga. The next and final piece of downloadable content in Rise of the Tomb Raider will have Lara encounter an army of nightmarish predators in Cold Darkness Awakened on March 29 in the Xbox Store and Windows Store.
A decommissioned Cold War research base has been breached, unleashing a deadly affliction from its Siberian slumber. As the illness seeps into the wilderness surrounding the base, Trinity soldiers transform into bloodthirsty killers who thrive on carnage. To prevent the affliction from spreading, Lara must rely on her wits, physical agility, and crafting abilities to overcome this new enemy and shut down the decommissioned base.
Cold Darkness Awakened is included in the Rise of the Tomb Raider Season Pass, which also contains the Endurance Mode and the recently released Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch DLC. For those who haven’t joined Lara Croft on her first Tomb Raiding expedition, Rise of the Tomb Raider for Xbox One and Xbox 360 are currently featured in the Xbox Store Spring Sale from March 22 – 28; be sure to check out Xbox.com for more great deals!
The Cold Darkness Awakened add-on comes to Rise of the Tomb Raider today, bringing with it bipedal humanoids that are pretty much zombies in everything but name. These animalistic bad guys aren’t the shambling, dumb-as-a-post classic zombies. No, they’re fast runners who’ll use knives, explosives and riot shields to try and take Lara out.

Does this dlc has a real story? Or is it just killing waves of enemies.

Unsure but this is the description for the DLC so potentially there could be some story but I doubt it will be much.

"This provided the perfect opportunity for us to deliver a new Tomb Raider experience. With the addition of PlayStation VR support, you can play the world through Lara's eyes for the first time in franchise history."
There's more: you'll get all of the previously released DLC out of the box, as well a new co-op mode named Endurance. "Two players must team up to survive the harsh elements by day, as well as lethal threats from enemies by night. Fire takes fuel, food restores health, and every resource must be hunted, collected, or crafted. Battle to the top of the leaderboards, as others try to beat your longest survival run."
And, as this version is being billed as a 20th Year Celebration edition, there'll be new Tomb Raider III themed costumes and weapons – as well multiple character models spanning Lara's history, including her 1996 incarnation. And, finally, there'll be an Extreme Survivor setting which will make the game even harder, removing checkpoints and forcing you to forage for enough fuel to light campfires, which will represent the only places that you can save.
To be fair I never played much of the game on Xbox One as it's ended up on the backburner so I am now contemplating selling that game and waiting to get it on PS4!
“Blood Ties” is new premium DLC, and will allow players to explore Croft Manor in the main story mode, then defend it against a zombie invasion in “Lara’s Nightmare”. When Lara’s uncle contests ownership of the Manor, Lara must explore the estate to find proof that she is the rightful heir, or lose her birthright and father’s secrets for good. Players can then test their zombie-killing skills in the replayable “Lara’s Nightmare” mode: a haunted Croft Manor where players have new challenges and must rid the Manor of an evil presence.
In addition, for the first time in a Tomb Raider game, a new online co-op expansion to “Endurance Mode” lets fans raid tombs in a brutal wilderness together. Two players must team up to survive the harsh elements by day, as well as lethal threats from enemies by night. Fire takes fuel, food restores health, and every resource must be hunted, collected, or crafted. Battle to the top of the leaderboards, as others try to beat your longest survival run.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration (PS4) includes:

* Co-op support for “Endurance Mode”, challenging players to survive extreme conditions with a friend
* Re-envisioned cold-weather outfit and weapon for Lara inspired by Tomb Raider III
* Classic Lara card pack which will allow fans to play “Expedition Modes” using one of several classic Lara models
* All existing DLC including “Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch” and “Cold Darkness Awakened”, 12 outfits, 7 weapons, 35 Expedition Cards, and more

“This year we celebrate 20 years of the iconic Lara Croft,” said Ron Rosenberg, co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. “This provided the perfect opportunity for us to deliver a new Tomb Raider experience. With the addition of PlayStation VR support, you can play the world through Lara’s eyes for the first time in franchise history.”
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is the most comprehensive edition to date and will be available for the PlayStation 4 on October 11 worldwide. Existing Season Pass holders on Xbox One and PC will receive the “Blood Ties” upgrade for free.
EDIT : "Interestingly, Square Enix also said, regarding frame rate and resolution, that "anything beyond that is a bonus."
They said the same with TR DE, and on PS4 it was unlocked 30 fps, which means could go to 60 fps. It was mostly a 50-60fps experience for me, and if this is the case for this one too, then it's all good !
