I only have ou.dat and ou.lsc in my folder, the other 2 are missing and I get no speech in the game with the crack. Any ideas?

Dont install any crack, i just installed the new release without crack and everything works fine so far. But if you use german crack you had to rename the files to get addon speech to work.

What do you run it with? Daemon tools?

this release works great! you do not need to unplug, you do not need to hide drives, you do not need to have emulation on
just mount and install
when you play, just have CD4 mounted in DT4 and you are good to go!!!

Yes daemon tools 4, i am not sure if you need sr7stop or similiar like the info says... I didnt need anything.

Well lucky you! That doesn't work for me.
Fortunatly I got it working for me a different way. Took long enough to figure out.
I had to mount it in daemon tools 4 with all emulation on, then hide the virtual drive with SR7.stop, then disable my IDE drives in device manager and finally run the .exe through Antiblaxx with Jowood-X-Protect emulation enabled. What fun!
Worth it though, love this game and somehow they've managed to improve the performance 100%.

The cd1 is in Blindwrite format so u just have to load the .bwt file in DT4 (that's what i did and it worked !)

wtf? why is it that some people have problems to even mount this shit? I can't mount it. CD1, CD4... they both have the same error "unable to mount image. file not accessable"

Thats exactly the error i get, Although i have to admit.. i d/l very few pc games..so dont have to muck about with mounting and crap
There has been about 5 pc game in the last 2 yrs worth getting.. and those i bought.
Im not sure if this is available in the UK but if it is im buying it tomorrow

i installed it with DT4 and it works fine....but it's the same gothic 2 :S
is it the same game with the same plot, but just with some new areas and quests? (but same plot?). cuz although it's a really good game, i dont feel like playing all over again the same thing...

I double clicked on the R00 instead of on the .rar... thus only getting the .bwi and .bws.
now it works flawlessly, didnt need any progs to get it running.

why did you have to jump through all of those hoops? what happened when you mount with no emulation [cd4] and try to play? did you check windows 2000 compatibility on your NOTR icon? what error does it give you?

Do you have to turn on Emulation when installing the 4 cd's via DT 4.x? Do you have to Turn on Emulation at any time using the Blindwrite files to install via DT?
Sorry but I tried the CD burn and install method and it is no go.
