If you want the best when it comes to painting effects, there's currently nothing better than Google's Deep Neural Network. It's an A.I that can even replicate artists like Monet etc. It can also "dream" (Google Deep Dream) for truly horrific images
Some of my own little experiments:
Spoiler: |
Actionfigure
H.P Lovecraft
crappy mobile selfie
Google Deep Dream. I let it "dream" the same pic over and over here, this is after several stages.. images is orinally from a video i made of this transformation:
|
It's complex to install this shit.. i've managed with Deep Dream. But you can also use pages like:

Sheesh Harry, you are too picky, who could of real painted so many shots in this short time man? Sure it was digital work. Still a great idea and fits the world of Witcher.

@harry_theone I don't have to see many concept artists to know how it works, i do digital work. But, the point is that unlike you, I haven't thought for a second that what Bob linked, is concept art, it was clearly filtered photos. What I didn't get, was your "meh" towards that guy's work, it's still fine artwork and looks great, with plenty work included.

I don't really mind where you are from and what background you have, I look at art (mostly digital) too, does that make me superior to you? No. Well if it's filtered, it's not really artwork, is it? How would you know I believed anything? Did you look inside me once I entered the thread and saw the link for the first time but didn't post? I just didn't believe Topaz has advanced that much that you barely see it was used. The first and 4th could very well have been handmade.
It's "meh" because the originals are just much better, if that's hard to understand I'm sorry. This argument is useless, I don't understand your hostility towards me for this either. Whatever.

So if it is filtered it can't be art really ? that's a strange way to look at it in this in this day and age where pretty much all digital art is filtered in one way or another

Got to say the game feels quite rough, even after so many patches. Bugs everywhere, often harmless and sometimes funny, but also immersion breaking. Seen tons of floating grass, rocks, trees.. That whale in the ocean lol.. it has like 3 stages of animations, looks horrible.
Got a "funny" one right now, Keria has a open book which is stuck to her hand, so whatever she does (casting spells etc) she do it with a book that rotates around her hand.. currently we are riding and yes, she is doing that with the open book too. If they also have sex later, it will look... awkward, to say the least
The A.I is absolutely retarded too, especially the guards. Helped them kill a monster, took the loot, guards attacks me because im stealing.. duh.. TES isnt so bad after all when it comes to A.I
Other than that the game is spectacular.

thing is, every bug i ever came across was ultimately fixed, so i cant really complain... i dont recall anything other than maybe dlc-specific bugs during my dlc playthroughs, and that bizarre speed-up bug i experiences (which i believe was fixed just before i finished the game)
i mean its still a magnificently satisfying game, and while i never explain away bugs and say 'get over it', i dont think its fair to call the game rough. bethesda games are rough. witcher 3 was... imperfect.

all im doing is defending MY playthrough which was largely bug free. i only had one mission-breaking bug in my hearts of stone playthrough, and one time when i almost got completely stuck in a puddle in the main game... and no doubt a few other misc little annoyances but nothing that spoiled the experience that much or made the game unplayable... and ive certainly played enough of the game i couldnt be accused of rushing through it and missing the bulk of the content.

I have 2 bugs (playing on PS4), one treasure quest also underwater but in skellige, that doesn't clear up and Roach don't have a tail in Velen. I'm ok with that as long as i won't the bugs in B&W DLC, the PS4 version has some nasty game breaking bugs.
I'm about 150 hours in, level 37. Done with main game and now some POI and on to HoS. On my way to become my most played game of all time (number 1 is Fallout NV- 235 hours).
It's such a fantastic game but i have some things that i don't like: Roach looks different.. Why?
And the thing that bother me the most is that level-quset system that you only get xp if your level is 5 more then the quest level. That made me rush and play the main quest so i wont lose the big xp from main quest. I have this again now.. I'm level 37 and HoS first quest is 32 and B&W is 34, i'm going to lose xp from some quests and that's sucks.

I've never seen a single bug mentioned here in my playthrough which of course doesn't mean there aren't any.
Anyways, even with bugs it's one of the best PC game ever.
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold near to 10 million copies worldwide
Quote: | During infoShare 2016, Artur Kurasinski interviewed CD Projekt RED’s CEO, Marcin Iwinski, who revealed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold nearly 10 million copies worldwide.
As Marcin said when asked about the sales of their games:
“We were totally overwhelmed because, honestly, we were not expecting such a degree of success. But sales-wise, The Witcher series has sold over 20 million worldwide, out of which almost half of it is from The Witcher 3. So we practically doubled the sales of the series.”
Later on, Marcin re-confirmed that number:
“Generally I think with The Witcher 3, and it was the case with The Witcher 2 as well, we released our game without any copy protection. So on day-one you could download the game from GOG and give it to a friend – enemy as well – but give it to a friend, on a memory stick, it works. And still we sold near to 10 million copies across all three platforms.”
Unfortunately we don’t have any numbers for the GOG version, however we do know that the game has sold near 2 million copies on Steam. |

IMO Not buying this game when you like it is a shame. That is developer to support not all those greedy fucks (Ubi, Ea, Activision).
