that's because he's blind! Laughing

Anyway yea ive seen zatoichi and it's pretty decent. I like how they have the retro feel even though it was made only a few years ago.

I watched the myth aka san wa http://imdb.com/title/tt0365847/

8/10 - for all of those that have seen t the waterfall entry annoyed me, other than that it was pretty normal jackie chan stuff but the story in places was a bit sketchy. Really good directing and scene transitioning though.
o and Hee-seon Kim and Mallika Sherawat = Well fit!

Ima be watching Tom Yum Goong tonight or tomorrow so await an update!

Syriana 9/10. There is a lot of dialogue and a lot of characters to follow but that just draws you into the story more. Don't see it if you aren't ready to pay close attention.

Taegukgi (Brotherhood of War) - 9 / 10
one of the best war movies i ever seen, no matter what most say, its alot different from
saving private ryan. not only does this movie realistically depict both armies as human instead of taking sides, it walks the extra mile to actually show the evil in the nation of the protagonists as well. aside from that, the story between the brothers already makes a great movie as its really gripping and emotional.

Pirates of the Carribean - 8 / 10
a very fun movie, sadly sometimes too disney-ish for its own good.
hell, its johnny depp after all, and his role is as amazing as ever, captain jack sparrow is
one of the most entertaining characters i ve ever seen in a movie, and i dont think anyone
couldve captured this better than johnny depp.

Lord of War - 8 / 10
a very unique film from hollywood i gotta say, cages character is pretty good, but his monologue is sometimes pretty boring, thats not because of the dialogue but actually because
of cages sleepy voice. an eye opener at times, and and suspensive as well.
reminded me alot of city of god on several occasions, although it doesnt have anything to do
with it.

King King - 7 / 10
the first hour almost had me walk out, i havent been bored this much in a long time, there just wasnt anything happening here at all, pointless dialogues all over.
luckily, the following action sequences made up for it, the fight with the t-rex group was amazing and full of fresh ideas. a few scenes from the original were left out, prolly to re-appear in the extended edition. the finale was great, but as its a remake to a movie everyone knows, the suspense-building scenes just seemed too fake and pointless, as everyone knew what would happen.

The Machinist - 6 / 10
good acting and pretty suspenseful, but sadly full of plot holes and inconsistencies.
the ending is pretty bad, doesnt answer alot, and the fat bald guys character is just pointless.

Wedding Crashers - 5 / 10
i ve heard alot about this movie and expected a good comedy, but it just wasnt funny at all.
i liked all scenes with walken, but thats about it. vince vaughn was always an annoying actor to me, hardly ever seen him as funny, and the blonde guy wasnt as bad as he was in shanghai noon/knights and i-spy. the only really funny characters in the movie that made me laugh out were chazz and todd, the emo (eh sublime Wink).

Wedding Chrashers:
i liked it, it was pretty funny, good entertainment and i like vince vaughn and for once will ferrell didn't annoy me (maybe because he only had a small part in the movie). it begins very good but has some slower parts where you're just begging for something funny to happen. 7/10. good entertainment for a saturday afternoon.

Doom:
well what can i say, they changed the original plot from the game but that's not necessarly a bad thing. they were able to create a nice story around genetic manipulation so there was a real plot, what's not really the case in the game (gate to hell was opened, shoot demons and close the gate) and some nice plot twists i didn't see coming. The whole FPS sequence was pretty inventive and nicely done (way better than uwe boll putting game sequences with crappy graphics in house of the dead).
but overall still a pretty dumb action movie where they shoot first and ask questions later.
5/10

The Chronicles of Narnia 7/10

Good kid movie or stoner movie, id say. Although, the kids, especially the little girl, were fuckin annoying. The main kid, Peter...worse than the fag who plays harry potter
Good movie tho - if you like the book(s), which I do

red eye: 6/10

everything up to when they leave the plane: marvellous. the acting of the two leads is awsome and absolutely convincing (i think this must be really difficult when there's almost only facial close ups)

but the ending...GODDAMMIT this whole bigger/faster/over the top hollywood cinema is really pissing me off Sad

forgot to mention it so tom tum goong... 9/10 Very Happy. As rediculous as ong bak but the chorography is much better than that of ong bak. The speed in which he does it all is amazing especially with the broken down busses. The scene where he's gettin kicked in the face and just takin it is hilarious and when he breaks all the arms too it's class Very Happy.

Factotum: 6,5/10 Some people don't find Matt dillon suited for this movie but I think he does a good job.

Cidade Baixa: 7/10 You have to be in the mood for this one, the story isn't that well-thought but it's definitely worth watching

Office Space: 8/10: weeeeellllll, okaaaaaaay, hmmmmmm what I want you to do...

Simon: 9/10 Nice dutch movie! Don't know how it will be for people who aren't from the netherlands.

It was so so. Some funny parts but Will Farrel is fuckin annoying. If nicole kidman wasnt so hot and less watchable, movie would have been a 1 Smile
