I leveled up my little cousin account some moths ago and it just require patient, play casual and try to get some kills and be on the top of the scoreboard.
Once we played with pax and some British dude that posed as a Russian was a fucking hacker. We tried to vote him out of the team several times but his mate that was also on the server denied it every time... would one be penalized in this case too?
Here my recording of the last round from his perspective...
If you played with a hacker, who gets vacced, yes you can get a downgrade on your rank. It was always like this to prevent boosting services to work properly. I think it's just fair.
After I got this game and got my ass handed to me, I thought I lost all of my old skill.
I did not want to accept that, so I sacrificed this weekend so I could git gud again.
I racked up 1333 kills now, between deathmatch and competitive mode, with a k/d ratio of 1.06 (from my last 30 games it would be around 1.8 ) and 44% of kills being headshots.
My main weapon which I used for approximately 60% of the kills is the P90.
You people are raping my dreams
I was an M4 and AK guy in the old days and while I still love using the M4 in GO, I find that the AK handling is completely different from what I was used to, there is alot of spray and overall it just feels really shit compared to the M4.
So since the AK isnt a real alternative to the M4 for me anymore, I decided to concentrate on the P90, as you can use it with both factions.
Sure it is crap for long distance, but it is very fun to rush into a room and spray my way through 3 opponents in a second.
As for sniper rifles, never ever gonna touch one, scum of the earth.

You'll get used to the AK, tap firing still works with it
Took me a while too and my spray control is not yet what it used to be in the original either. Pistols are my biggest gripe though, because everyone can run and get headshots with them, except me
I just read about changes to first bullet accuracy in CS:GO, so I guess I'll just have to get used to it as you said.
Just out of curiosity, what total dpi do you guys use?
I'm at 960 atm (400 dpi and 2.4 sensitivity) and I don't think I can go lower without breaking my arm
Some might argue that p90 spammers are also scum.
I personally don't care about any gun, if you cannot combat it, the problem is you not the player using it.
Some weapons are ridiculously good at certain situations.
I'd rather have an SMG or even a five-seven at close quarter combat than an AK for example.
I can just run or jump around and still be able to headshot them while their spraying will barely get me.
Don't tell me to "git gud" cuz I see the same shit happening in pro matches too.
