Its a shame this game won't have 3rd person view, would be much more enjoyable for me. Sad

Otherwise, graphics are great, but the faces, animations etc. still needs a lot of work to be good.

Lets wait and see I guess. Smile

No need to worry about a 3p view. The plebian version is real now and it wouldn't be pleb without it Laughing

Don't worry, I bet you can change to third person unofficially and have it work just as well as it did in Dead Island:

EDIT: Seems to be the same update as Prudislav posted above about the general beta version release, not specific to this new update for said beta.

What I find weird about this game is it has almost the same graphics as Fable I (except the vegetation and people are much better) but with system reqs of The Witcher 3 (even higher than it for now)... And I don't care about the looks but I want to be able to play KC:D on my 6 years old PC Razz

It's seriously starting to rival Unity in that regards.

lol yeah the engine is a bit wonky. At least it's a step in the right direction, games design wise. Really, we've had enough Harry Potter bullshit in thousands of "medieval" games now?

I know the Thief series has a small element of "magick" to it (the Mechanists) but I liked how it was never the main focus of gameplay. The dark medieval atmosphere was so much richer and deeper for it. Can't wait for this fucking game. Bannerlord too. And maybe someday, Medieval 3 Total War?

Possibly delayed into 2017, gives them a chance to port it over to Cry-Engine V at least, heh well that and fix the various other remaining issues and fine tune performance a bit maybe.

Good decision, as the latest videos don't really make it look anything near complete content and performance wise.

Haha, as much as it pains me to say it, definitely they're doing the right thing. I played the latest b̶e̶t̶a collection of code put together with cyber duct tape for some hours back in March (even posted my impressions - sort of- in the previous page) and the amount of roughness truly was too much to handle. You can tell that there's something potentially good in this at the moment, but you have to struggle to find it, and wear 30fps cinematic sunglasses in the process.

A 1.6 GB update was released, as usual there's nothing on their forums so they're probably working on one of those video showcases again and a backer update via Kickstarter for whatever this patch does.

EDIT: Engine is updated from 3.8.0 to 3.8.5(.1)

EDIT: Well it still looks good though performance is a bit, rough, no idea what they've changed with this update but I guess we'll know soon.

EDIT: Minor bugfixes and support for new (subtitle only at the moment.) language localizations. Smile

Not too bad.

I'm not sure though, if there are any other locations in the game at all. We always get to see the same one.

Probably not, they said it would be one region back in the days. Forgot which one but I remember some castle overlooking a valley when they showed the real life version of it. Smile

Unless they changed that over time, haven't been following it that much.
