Why are the companies pushing this vr shit into to market so bad? Am i the only one who is not excited about this virtual reality thing?
I mean i understand the situation of new medium of gaming and all, but it seems companies are more excited than customers to use this.

Because they are. They said it themselves, every 5th sentence spewed at E3 contained word "excited"

VR has been pushed artificially and transformed into a corporate product way too early. They saw the potential but acted too quickly.
This took away a phase of discovery and experimentation, instead they try to make us believe it is mainstream even before it was properly released.

I still believe VR is the way forward, as an accompaniment to mainstream monitors. But companies want a piece of the VR pie; most stuff being made is very safe, simple stuff. It'll be much better once we get a good AAA type game with innovation.*

i think they shouldnt do such conferences like e3 anymore, they just show bullshit and try to hype the kids. and none of those hype will ever be reached cause the games will be not as good as they promise, or downgraded or even never ever released!

@Janz We have our own opinions, thanks. Sony has proven that some do care. If everyone did something like them or at least used their way of constantly showing games without some mobile crap or whatever (looking at you Microsoft and Ubi), then the E3 would be the best conference in all kinds of terms.

I got as far as the "woooo!!!! high five!!" dude running, and couldn't take any more. My spine was started to compact from all the cringe.
