Fuck EA the only things I spend my money on nowadays is cheap steam deals and kick starter projects like Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen.

Actually wasn't that were they were going with the cancelled lucasarts SW game? (forgot the name). Then again that project shifted it's vision a lot.
Edit: Star Wars 1313 was the name.

I couldn't have said it better myself
No way they'll make something really interesting here. It sure as hell won't be 'deep' or rewarding. They'll stick to the trusty generic actioney cinematic cover shooter #6890 formula just like they did with Mass Effect's sequels, Dead Space 3 or the cancelled 1313.
Casuals love insta-gratification, and EA will surely want to produce something that is 100% accessible to anyone because they gotta sell 10 trillion copies (at least!). It's so doomed.

If they've sold 14 millions copies how come all the complaints are about the inability to find players for a game?!!!!!
P.S.: seen the same on the console forums.

Ah... Thanks, Bob. Missed that one.
But it seems that the numbers were going down since launch.

Dead Space Dev's Star Wars Game Going in "Groundbreaking Directions," EA Boss Says
| Quote: | "Let's get right to the point: we have awesome projects underway at both Motive and Visceral, and we are looking for some more amazing people to join our teams," Motive and Visceral general manager Jade Raymond said in a blog post.
As for Visceral's Star Wars game, Raymond said the developer is "forging ahead into an exciting phase of development." This game is being made under the direction of former Uncharted writer and director Amy Hennig.
"She is a rare breed of storyteller, and she's collaborating with the creative leaders at Lucasfilm to tell a new, authentic Star Wars story," Raymond said.
Hennig and Visceral GM Scott Probst are "taking this project in groundbreaking directions," Raymond went on to say.
In addition to the new Star Wars games from Motive and Visceral, Titanfall developer Respawn is working on a third-person action adventure game in the Star Wars universe. Additionally, DICE may be moving ahead with a sequel to Star Wars Battlefront. |

I would like to see new Star Wars games leaving Luke, Leia and Han behind. Their stories have been told and retold over the years, and I'm getting quite bored of Vader too.
I'm not a huge fan of the new movie (It's alright, but what IS it with directors casting snivelling wetnosed yoofs as the bad guys right now?), but the SW universe is huge - there surely must be room for new characters? I mean, Nar Shaddar - noone really knows anything about it, if you just follow the movie canon - it's got to be teeming with intrigue.
It's the Lightsaber that's to blame. No SW game feels quite right without one it seems.

Luke made an appearance in JK2 Jedi Outcast and JK3 Jedi Academy. Lando had a brief cameo in Jedi Outcast, as did Chewie and Wedge in Jedi Academy. And Vader obviously played a central role in Force Unleashed 1/2. Anything set in the OT era is bound to at least make mention of the main characters.
Speaking of Lando, I think a game centered on him rather than Han would be more interesting.

No. No it won't. Because EA wouldn't know what made KOTOR 1&2 incredible even if it crawled up their urinary track all the way up to their eyeballs and introduced itself.
