Like I said, debate about it being a fake blah blah blah, but I suspect it isn't since it is in the range of what we expected out of it(980/fury level card).

Exactly, that's why it's so easy to fake. In this case there is clear evidence that you can easily replicate yourself, and even if the real results turn out to also be around 3200, it won't make this particular one any less fake
I really wish they'd lift the NDA already and get this shit over with.
With what logic? My 390 seems to be doing fine going from 1050 to 1200. Benchmarks upto 1260 or something.
I thought the 970 overclocks more than that?
How did you reach 1200? My R9 390 Nitro's limit on air appears to go from 1010/1500 to 1100/1680 (core/mem) and because of some spurious failures im not sure the overclock is actually stable.
he invested in after market cooling. I wouldn't call his OC an average OC for the 390. + the whole value proposition of the 390 goes out the window once you invest in water cooling. 1100 is the average OC potential most 390 users report. So i wouldn't lose sleep over your 390 not living up to the extreme OC potential. It's just stige, or as I love to call him AMDruss80

We'd probably be pissed too if we saw the OC air cooled competing card utterly destroying our mildly OC'd card in which we had blew dozens of € pimping
"But... but... 3.5GB of VRAMZ, it's shit... "

@ Kanint
Im starting to think so too. I don't think im a similar boat as stige here (no water cooling for a start)

Thanks for the info! and to the rest

I don't get artifacts until my VRM temps hit ~73C or there abouts. That is why I had bad time overclocking at the shitty stock cooler aswell, VRM would hit 80C+ even at stock voltages easily.
You should check your VRM temps first before doing anything else. Although I think they should be good on the Nitro compared to this shitty Strix DC3 that I have.
Unless I increase fan speed my stock clocks produce 61°/72° (VRM1/2) temps... I think my whole case cooling is probably not up to par to begin with. Ill assume im just worse off on all acounts here and accept what I have or rather reduce my overclock a bit because it doesn't seem stable (woke up to a restarted pc again).
That's nice, but since the first one was clearly fake, I'm gonna go ahead and not trust any new info coming from that guy. We're probably going to see proper benchmarks in a matter of days.
We're not going to see any official benchmarks till the 29th, which is the same day the 480 releases.
There have been rumors that the June 29 NDA is in place because of some non-RX480 related info from the Macau event, and that the NDA for RX480 reviews might be lifted earlier. But you're most likely right. Not that long of a wait in any case.
Looking forward to the RX480 release.
Hopefully the price is good and the performance solid (in line of what the "leaks" show) cause I need a new GFX-Card and this one's looking to be a good upgrade for not too much cash
Our current cards are a GTX570, GTX 560Ti and Radeon HD 7970 ... yep, a few years old
Lol emag had less than 3 1070s in stock... Tried to add to cart, product gone.
I love romania, i love new tech launches here, i also love...
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
PS (if not fake then just lolz, wish they'd be out already so i can chill the fuck out and make a decision, on the other hand i can always take my product back in 31 days and replace with something else so... that's good too) :
Main PC : I7 12700, MSI Ventus RTX 4090 24gb, Alienware AW3423DW QD-OLED
Laptop : I5 4200H @ 3400mhz boost, GTX 850m 2gb Vram DDR3, 4gb RAM DDR3
Derpsole : Playstation 5 disc edition, Ninty Switcherino
TV+audio: LG CX 65" / Sonos ARC + SL ones + Sonos sub 3
VR Headset: Meta quest 2 airlinked
From what I've read, a member of that community said the consensus was that it was fake.
So far, most of the "leaks" saying that the 4gb version was clocked at 1080 have been fake.
It's not impossible that the 1266 clock can be increased to 1400, but we haven't seen any proof/confirmation yet. And I'm not convinced of the 1080 clock rumors being true.
I'd probably use Improved instead but I guess both work, well my browsers spell checker isn't complaining about "bettered" at least and I guess it's a take on "Better Red" or some such.
ok, better than 480 be good and cheap coz the clutch in my car just decided to fuck itself up which in monies translates to the 1070 being a no go in the near future
