Family drama in a massive galaxy is what star wars was.
It has potential to be so much more than a continuous story connecting to the family drama.
And hes the only jedi master that we know of.
If there were no jedi apart from Luke, at the end of og trilogy then how is the child? How is ashoka? Y'know? Linking it to just the family drama is lulz and stoopid fan service.
Spoiler:
Oh and mando s03 not coming out in 2021. They released a 2021 slate of shows. Lol. And if anyone defends this... do you really think Favreau would not have s03 planned/penned and ready for production in 2021? There's a clear dispute. However legitimate it is. Rumors didn't lie. May not have been entirely correct. I hope there's no truth to these rumors, and all is well. But signs are not in favor of these rumors being completely false. Given the quick handout. They had a clear plan for the show, and now s03 isn't ready for 2021?

There is more that unfolded than just the quest.

And that is why I interpreted the post-credits scene as the show continuing, but with Boba as the main character and Din returning as a side character. The title of the show does not require the show to be about Din necessarily. The show is also structured as a book with an episode being a chapter, thus The Book of Boba Fett being just the next "book" in the series. Kind of disappointed to hear they're doing both going forward, no risks being taken.

Bobba fet shows itll be about the nice underground shits of star wars. Like that cancelled game. So it'll be nice. Exploring more of the universe is what will make star wars interesting.
@WaldoJ I said Master, Ashoka was only ever a Padawan since her Master Anakin kind of fucked off before she ever became a Knight (Spoiler, I KNOW!)
Afaik, there is no other Master left and possibly not even Knights, tho that I do not know.
Anyway,
Listening to him, he again makes a lot of sense. The episodes "in themselves" are fun too watch, but the big picture is a different one. Episode 7 to 9 really lowered anyone's expectations when it comes to Star Wars, lol.
Just read that CGI Luke just got an update on Disney+. Have not seen it for myself yet, but from I heard it's a real improvement to his facial expressions.

3-part interview with Gina Corano by Drunk 3PO.. so fun to see these small channels and people i've followed since last year really blowing up... nerdrotic, MooLer, HeelvsBabyface, Geeks & Gamers, Critical drinker, rekeita law - very cool community and people with just common sense. Glad Gina sees that too.
The only reason Mandalorian is OKish is because it comes after the utter disaster of the sequel trilogy. These sequels were so shit, full of nothing but completely stupid twists with a heavy dosage of SJW propaganda added on top.
After this trilogy the very average at best Mandalorian was at least ... something?
But good it was not. It lacked depth. Characters were one dimensional, conflicts were very simple... etc.
Is it a step forward compared to the shit trilogy? Yes. Is it a big step forward? Also yes, because the trilogy was so, so bad.
The Mandalorian was more Star Wars than the sequel trilogy in every way even though it was completely off the beaten route and a separate episode-based route with new characters except for Boba Fett (and the surprise season finale). In fact, I don't see the sequel trilogy as canon since it simply fucks up everything we know and love from the OG trilogy and even the prequel trilogy (which in comparison is almost good).
Can't wait for the new Boba Fett show as well as Mandalorian S3. A year until the Boba Fett show and even longer for the next season of The Mandalorian. At least something to look forward to for a 2022 that will probably be a shitfest like 2021.

It's good because it's star wars (awesome setting, awesome depth to the already established universe), and it's the closest thing to the first trilogy i would argue. But ultimately, it's very lacking in depth, story, character development. Imagine it being a new sci-fi show not related to SW (so slightly different armors and setting), lol... it would have 4/10 on imdb, though it would get some praise for its special effects perhaps.
Higher than 8.8 (which is what the show has right now) or higher than a 4? Either would be impossible i think. Not if we had a 1:1 conversion just other armors and no ties to SW (creatures, weapons etc etc).
What's so amazing Mandalorian? Give examples. Story? Hardly. Characters? No. They even mess up the main one by giving away his face way too many times, makes him less mysterious, they should've waited with his reveal.
And yes, i say that as someone who really likes the show, but i also understand why i like it, not gonna pretend otherwise.
To me it gives fanservice in a pitch perfect, timely manner. Hype is well sustained, characters are two dimensional but charismatic. Compared to the OG movies: not bad, not good.
it does the element of surprise well, i'll give them that. Groku is a totally unexpected character (his race, his age). it has not one but two mysterious main protagonists, it introduced a character we've all missed + that character is given the justice it deserves.
So much bs. It is a good show with a pretty nice finale. Who else did you expect to come? Grogu seems to be the next Anakin/Luke force power wise. Anyone less than Luke, wouldn't make sense.
