I think this is a really lame genre. Games like Metro 2033 does this much better and gives you some variation in gameplay.

A real waste imo, because it looks very atmospheric and the theme is interesting.

From what I just read in a review almost all the games assets are stock CryEngine SDK ones and then there's a few custom ones such as the above squirrel and also a spider creature which yeah they contrast a bit with the stock assets in terms of quality as you can see.
