A chart I made of quality PC compatible controllers.
Most newer console gamepads work with Windows, some may require third party software. Older gamepads can be made to work with an adapter.
Update:
Xbox 360 - Wireless requires the Microsoft Receiver.
Xbox One - Wireless requires the Microsoft Adapter.
DualShock 3 - Use SCP Driver Package software instead of MotionJoy.
Got the LOGITECH F510 (had 1 but 1 person broke a button, sooo last resource: Ebay for a 2nd one) and works wonders without errors (eeexcept Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round, where i use my PS4's DS4 + InputMapper
Thanks for a headsup
Also, for the X360 emulation, great to know it can run Sonic at 60FPS (If that was it's original speed?).
Now...Where's an Xbox emulator and a true JET SET RADIO FUTURE working ISO?! XDDD
ASUS X570 TUF GAMING PLUS, 32GB DDR4@2666 ,RYZEN 5800X3D (NO OC),GIGABYTE RTX 4070 Super GAMING OC, Western Digital Blue 4TB 5400RPM + SAMSUNG 860 EVO 500+1TB GB SSDs , OEM SATA DVD 22xNoctua NH-D15 Chromax Black, BenQ XL2420T Case: Be Quiet! DARK BASE PRO 901. PSU CORSAIR RM1200 SHIFT
I have terrible luck with Logitech gamepads. The Chillstream killed a motherboard of mine by shortcircuiting and the F310 suddenly aimed to the left all the time. Not happy. The Xbox 360 is the best controller if you ask me.
I had my share of upsets with Logitech with their sticks, but I had the predecessor of the f510, the old Rumblepad 2, and it was a sad day when I clipped it's cable. Certainly the best gamepad that I owned. It survived numerous drops to the floor, and it's still as sturdy today as it was when I bought it, never had a single problem with it. My ps4 controllesr today looks worse from use, while my ps3 ones look as if they survived ww2 and they are at least few years younger.
I also had a Rumblepad 2 for many years, super-robust until one day it stopped working. It went literally dead, I had played Carmageddon 2 just fine the previous day.
hello men, can anyone help me get caught up? i have been out of the loop for a while, but the bug has struck me to play some old games. what are currently the emulators of choice for consoles? has anything cool happened in terms of arcade emulation? the last time i was fully in the loop, cps3 emulator was ported to original xbox...i feel old.
cool i actally might give it a try next week when the non patreon build releases (version 1.5.0 is allrdy out but 1.5.1 has implemented AVX and stuff which gives a nice speed boost)
Don't games work intricately with the Wii U gamepad? How do they overcome that?
I'd love to play xenoblade X Maybe I'll just buy a Wii U if they ever release a proper new Zelda.
Depends on the game I think. I'd guess stuff like Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros would control just fine with a normal gamepad (maybe they even support the classic controller? I'm not up-to-date with WiiU stuff honestly)
New Super Mario Bros for example wasnt finishable, the last level needed the blow on the controller feature (and still isnt cause the game only supports the u gamepad and the wii mote as input); edit seems there was an update for the game short before new super luigi us launch which enables pro contrller support, gonna check it later
but they finally brought support for the classic controller und pro controller with 1.5.0. so everygame which works fine with them should be playable 100%
with the latest update available (which is most like already 2 years old) for new super mario bros u the pro controller gets recognized correct (but cemu killed my savegame after patching the game, so i cant check if its beatable now)
gonna check out twilight princess hd with the latest update too later (which is bigger than the scrubbed basegame...)
We would also need better performance still. This guy has a reasonable machine afaik (there is link to a video with his pc stats in the description - a video ). To be honest I may only tolerate constant 60fps for this. Especially since game speed is tied to framerate in this video at least.

Yeah well this emulator is still only a few months old, the progress they have made in this time is almost out of this world compared to every other emulator bevore that.
Guyz, im not putting down the emulator. It is amazing. Im just refering to that statement above. At the current speed maybe we'll get it soon or maybe we won't
Any of you have access to these CEmu builds? Keep this stash tightly locked because Nintendo most likely will kill it soon.
There are reason why it is closed-source.
yeah right
anyway there is a delay of one week between patreon and official release you can get 1.5.0 now http://cemu.info/ or wait for 1.5.1 in a few days.
