Naw, I upgraded a month or so before Christmas. Swapped out my older E7200/3.6 and 4870 for an i5-25k and a GTX570. I've got my i5 running at 4.5Ghz and there's STILL performance issues in both Xenoblade and TLS, heh. Emulation eh? fun fun fun!

Well, i'm playing on Wii, and the game has some serious fps issues when there are a few enemies at a time.

the only time i had fps dips is when camera pans during cutscenes, gameplay itself seems pretty smooth

What i miss in this is a way to see what chapters you have done, seeing as some side quests are chapters. You might be on chapter 30 and suddenly you find a side quest that is chapter 20 and then you start wondering if you have missed something else.

No, sorry. English voices only -- and they really are English too, not American.

oh well, I'd prefer japanese but I have no choice.

I'm just so spoiled after xenoblade and playing some undub ps2 rpgs recently.
japanese voiceovers ftw!

Thanks, sabin.

English VO in Xenoblade was great and so is in this game (same company done them I think, no?). I hate when people are extremely biased towards JPN VO, automatically dismissing any English VO.

Don't worry Surray, like I said; this is ENGLISH voice acting. It's very well made and refreshing, just like the awesome Xenoblade as Intel_NVIDIA said.

k, cool.

It's not like I'm just dismissing the english voice acting and just want japanese just because I don't want english.
the reason is that there's some of my favourite voice actors involved in the japanese version.
the main character is voiced by mamoru miyano ffs!
I was just really looking forward to that.

I know there can be very good english dubs too, like FF12, so if it's anything like that it should be cool Smile

Weird though, it's a single-layer rip.. 4.15GB. That's very odd considering the normal game is dual-layer 8GB.

the download is a wbfs file which seems to be compressed.
from the comments:

No, if you convert this to an iso it will still be 8.3gb's. You can however make it fit on a single dvd by downloading wii scrubber below and selecting 'trim'.

Still it's probably easier just to load it on a USB device.

Ah, I hadn't gotten around to scrubbing mine yet. I think I'll do that... save myself 4GB Very Happy HOWEVER! I'll be taking a break from the game for a short while, wait for the Dolphin dev team to fix up some issues.. namely the horrendous city bus "horn" that blares screechingly loud over every "flashback" cutscene.

That undub copy floating around does work, tried it on my usb loader. Haven't had much time to get into the game yet, but from what I've seen it looks great. Smile

I gave up on this before I even really got into it. I'm not sure what super godlike PC you need, but obviously a 4.5Ghz i5 isn't enough, as the framerate plummets down to 20-21 when you hit the city. Very unplayable.

I'll get my Wii hooked up again soon, play through it on that Very Happy

After close to 30 hours I finished the game with anything done I know of. There are serious framerate issues sometimes but I never had any trouble while actually fighting so the hiccups don't impact gameplay. The game is more linear than Xenoblade, but also more story-driven. I like how, even if the characters look very much FF-like, the story is not the usual "we are a group of lawless fighters against the evil empire behind which is the true enemy which is even more evil".

Aside from the story, the game stands or falls with the gameplay. I liked the fresh approach to the combat system. Head-on into a group of enemies gets you killed fast, and especially later bosses can be tough nuts if you don't level-grind.

I hope Mistwalker can build upon this game and get out a sequel. This and Xenoblade are a nice swan song to the Wii, seeing how I am not that conviced by what I have seen from Pandora's Tower yet.

Just finished the game! Been a long time waiting Laughing But it was a really great game! Some unneeded bosses and cheesy scenarios that didn't have to end in such a happy note, which made it look forced. But it was a great ride all in all with some really awesomecharacters! The ending was nothing short of fantastic! The story can be as dark and gritty as it wants, but i do like a good old fashioned happy ending Very Happy

I have no idea if my wii is getting old or whatever, but this game was playing in real slow motion, pretty damn often too Sad
