Something I've noticed from taking kava is a feeling that I haven't experienced from anything else. I consider myself a very apathetic and isolated person. I don't desire socializing and human contact like most people do. I lack empathy sometimes and put my needs before others. It's not something I'm proud of.
How does any of this relate to kava? Well, kava removes those negative traits. After drinking kava I feel an overwhelming sense of compassion and love for others. Something I almost never feel. I go out of my way to socialize with others while on kava which is something I don't often do. It also removes any prior anger I had before drinking the kava.
I'm not exactly sure why kava makes me feel like this, but it certainly is a nice feeling. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
