because I have this new job I haven't had a lot of time to post on the board, let alone see any movies, but there are a couple I would like to see.

Syriana - It looks really good and It's up for some golden globes so it can't be too bad.

Brokeback Mountain - ok ok I know everyone has been bashing this movie because It's about some gay cowboys but it's getting amazing reviews. what I am curious about is if it is getting good reviews because it tackles a difficult topic or if it truely is a good movie.

Has anyone seen either of these movies? If so, what did you think of them?

I also wanna see Brokeback M. The problem with gay movies is that ppl tend to get afraid what others might think about them if they say they love/like/enjoy the movie. Take Titanic for example even thus it hasn't any gays in the move people tend to call it a "girls movie" etc.
I'd suggest Narnia and Kong haven't watched mutch lately at all.

Yea I will eventually see Narnia and Kong.
I know if I ask my movie loving buddies to go see brokeback they will say something along the lines of "I'm not going to see that fag movie." It's sad that they are so homophobic that they cant even go see a movie about gay people. So I'll prolly go with a girl or just wait for a dvdrip.

What categories are brokeback nominated in at the Golden Globe?

And try to look back dude and go find yourself a copy of Videodrome with good old James Woods.

i dont like gay movies, just cant relate to the characters and the troubles theyre going through.
if its a movie about persecuted black people in a white society i can still put myself in the minds of these people even though i m white. its a natural thing, everyone knows what it feels like.
relating to a gay character however just doesnt work for me, it would be the same as relating to a nazi during ww2, i just cant follow these ideologies.
also i dont like gay people, not because i m a homophobe, but because all gay males i know have serious attitude problems.
