That's just Steam syncing your saves and settings after the game quits, not downloading anything.

I think the really fast movement in FPS games looks so fucking off, since you move way too smooth to be running, it's more like you a gliding on ice or maybe driving a car.

People complain about car physics in games, that's nothing compared to the human/player physics in this game Laughing

Might partially have to do with the FOV being really off in that last video though, looks really stupid.

Sorry to bring back the whole Big D discussion but I really hate these new protections.

I have no issue with paying for my games but I don't want the access to my games to be controlled by someone else. It's fine if you can easily crack it but that is not the case now. Sad

None of the games interest me much so far but eventually one that does will probably be released. I guess it's better to abandon your principles slightly than being bored and grumpy though. Smile
Games aren't that expensive on sale anyway.

Yep with v2 tokens expire in time now. It seems every game has different time. think they added this another layer of protection after CPY/3DM first cracks and when people started to exploit buy-generate-refund-profit. This makes it half-online drm no matter what they say.
Imagine the massive non protected .exe patches wave in ~10 years when they stop their servers. Laughing

Well,if you guys bringed up the 'D', I have some slight good news,I can personally confrim of at least one guy that really working hard on it...

Personally saw via teamviewr that he is using debbuing tool and manage to get respone code.

But agian,it will take time, the 'D' is a lot to reverse, though he is probably not the only one working on it.

Aside from that,I have nothing else to confirm at this point, have nice day and good luck.

If he can reverse it. Does it mean that all games with denovu are easy to crack then? Or will each new game a new challenge. im only happy if games are cracked at day one.

They will probably relese v3 with some new stuff and so on. Anyway, bought cheapass steam access code, downloaded, playing right now without any problems, offline. Obviously I dont care about MP, and access to steam account and SP cost me around 1-2$.

Ok, I played it a bit more and I was wrong. It's better than I thought - and it does have some neat things to keep me going. Now, I still largely prefer the atmosphere and pacing of Doom 3 (minus the monster closet spawn design) - but this is more fun than I expected it to be.

Sorry for being too hasty in my judgment.

Like it a lot too. Hated everything about before I played it because of the console videos.

Anyone know why I can't upgrade the suit when I have like 5 tokens and almost nothing unlocked. I am in the fourth level. It's all locked after the first upgrade.

nvm, reloaded it via main menu and its larger with enemies and so on

Yeah I does look off. Smile
However, I'd be surprised if we would accept proper running animations, since that would make the view wobble in every direction alot. When you yourself run thats one thing, since your brain starts compensating, but I think that doesnt work for things you just see while you are still.

In fact I think unstabilized gopro videos or something like it on youtube should demonstrate that?

Yeah the classic maps in the SP campaign are small previews (They do have the same secrets though although usually it's just for show.) and then the full version is playable as the "classic map" screen from the campaign menu. Smile

I caonfirm this trick still works for me.
I get double the fps.

Works only for first start after deleting the file I mentioned. Breaks when going back to main menu too.
Just delete it, Continue game(so level loads), set to low preset, accept, go back to the game and fps will double. Then go back to settings and set to ultra. Just shadows on low and texture stuff on medium. Also go to game settings are reset them cause they will all be disabled. And switch to correct difficulty again.
... and keep steam cloud off cause it will bring profile.bin file back.
oh and that is on 1080p and tsaax8.
Game is broken as fuck. And i wonder why no one else other than me have discovered this method. Settings obviously get stuck or something.

I've not played much so testing will be ongoing today evening. just testted on 2 first levels.

it breaks when quitting or going to main menu.
But it still works after dying and the game loads. So it kinda only works in ONE current session Laughing It's fucking weird. First time I am seeing something like this

That sounds annoyingly finicky. Perhaps others should confirm it, and if applicable report to devs so they can fix it Razz

Yup, I understood your text steps - I'll give it a try shortly. It sounds fairly unbelievable to me, but then, this is idTechShit and RAGE/Wolf were both utterly broken unless the user manually created a certain folder so that the game would actually create its texture cache file, so who knows? Maybe profile.bin gets corrupted or broken each run?

Thanks KC! I'll let you know Smile

Oh yeah the texture cache folder Laughing

This seems similar to all the times people recommend tweaking inis and then set them read-only!
In fact... @ KC, you could try the following

Go offline, delete profile.bin file, set preset to low, manually set desired settings, tab out of the game to make the profile.bin read-only.
edit: Though this is unlikely since you can apparently delete the file altogether.

Maybe this way it sticks? Unless the profile bin has other functions and this breaks something Laughing
