Not 16 hours straight.....couldn't bare it! I was too tired....maybe 6 hours straight. It was 1am eastern time when I started playing....took a break.....woke my kid up for school...made coffee....garbage to street.....If you're a DOOM fan this is a buy if you can't wait for "CRACK" which may or may not appear! I love this game!!

4+ hours and I just finished the second level, they're not exactly huge (so far.) but they did a pretty good job at hiding all the secrets and I'm pretty rusty, but I am finding them. Very Happy

There's a screen at the end showing how you did, there's also a similar interface on the games mini map so tracking your progress is pretty easy.
(Almost a bit too easy as secrets appear in order - besides the one for the hidden classic level. - so you know when to go back if there's a gap in the collectibles acquired and so far it seems you can almost always backtrack through the entire level.)

EDIT: There is also several items placed on hidden areas that don't count as a secret such as a certain health and armor power up early on through the second map hidden a bit above the players position.

Little easter-egg thingies don't count either but are fun to discover.



EDIT: DOOM 1 and DOOM 2 had a bit of this as it showed secrets discovered but they weren't ordered or anything nor was there help from the mini-map on where they might be located.

Ok i'm really surprised it runs a lot better than i expected.
FXAA , Textures setting High most of the other settings are Medium.
From toggle options i only remove motion blur.
Getting 50-60 fps almost all the time with drops to 40 here and there but i can manage with that.And it doesn't look that bad on those settings.
Newest drivers (365.19) and poor old kepler 760 GTX 2GB OC

Also anyone managed to run SweetFX? I try it shows as injected, but i get black screen and have to toggle edits off so i can see image. Denuvo paranoia trigger against injecting files?

I, too, upgraded to the latest 395.19 and they have had a marked improvement. On high preset I can now get 50-60 on E1M2, whereas before it was a 45-50 janky mess even on low.

As for the Polyderp video, is anyone truly surprised? Really? This is fucking Polygon we're talking about. Ben Kuchera and Arthur Gies, these are the dumbest of the dumb so-called "gamers" out there. Fuck them.

Only just saw this, thank you very much! It was driving me crazy, I searched everywhere (I thought!) I guess that's the downside to everything being redbrown grinhurt Also, I found out online that the levers for the secret doors are always VERY near the door itself... so that makes searching a lot easier.

I kinda like the classic maps when played from the title screen, fun throwbacks Very Happy
