I have 2 simple questions if anyone can reply with the answer that would be just great...
1. When the game loads up and does the initilizing menu (checking servers for cd key) what is the servers it is trying to connect to? I tried looking in the cfg files and other files that looked editable for any sign of server address and could not find any. I would like to block it from my firewall.
2. I know im not the greatest in this game but im at the boss right after the 2 robot spiders, that big 1 spider dude (sorry for lack of terms) and I brealy have enough ammo. I cant kill this guy if my life depended on it. Is there something im missing? like a trap door or like more ammo??

You don't have to kill him, he has to pick you up with that purple laser type thing and then the story moves on.

ijust love them cards, i can get a 6600gt agp for about 90 quid and the performance on current games with it is astonoshing.
there about 10% faster than a 9800pro.
and the 9800pro is about 10% dearer.

nvidia had a good showing with this generation of GPU's i run 2x 7800GTX's in sli (i got the second one this weekend after a coupla months of hiding cash around the house from the mrs) and it blazes.
I bought a 6800 for my kids unlocked the extra pipes they unlocked perfectly ramped up the cpu/mem and its a mean performer for $300 CAD

it wil be a while b4 i go pcie, but i thank this new bus for the price drops on top end agp cards.
i myself am looking at a x800xl for about 150 quid. or even the 6800gt for around th esame price i think.
i think il wait for unreal 3 enviroment b4 i make up my mind to go pci e.
the games just dont require pcie at moment, in fact they dont even saturate agp8x.

the 6800 in my kids pc is an agp it runs real nice i was very impressed tbh
i'm done w gamecards now til games start really using the next itteration of direct x. I spent alot this yr getting a FX4800 and the 2 cards and maxing out the memory. I'm hoping this PC will last me a yr at least

I've got the CloneCD version (DVD - 2.70GB)
when i mount it with DeamonTools\Alcohol120 3105 It still ask for the DVD ..... any idea?
maybe something is wrong with my configuration of deamon or alcohol...
10x in advance

CPU : AMD "Barton" 2500+.
Memory : 768MB DDR PC2100.
GFX : Nvidia 6600GT DDR3 128MB , AGPx8

download OpenAL 1.1 drivers...there is a link in the pc tech forum, in one of the numerous threads. |

Really looks & feels like a D3 addon. Corridors, corridors, poor outside scenes. even the weapon sounds are from D3. Those space ships in the intro are an Alien 2 rip-off inc the drop ships. Locked at 60Hz refresh rate - giving this one a miss for CoD 2

Ok, I'm having a problem here. I went to play online after installing it, and it said it needed punkbuster. So I uninstalled, and re-installed the game with punkbuster. Now when I goto the games list it doesnt even show a game listed. I know its similar to that other guys problem. But my firewall was letting it through before, why not now?
And what ports do i open on my firewall? I didnt open them before and i got a listing.

Update, I have tried using xfire to find servers, which works. HOWEVER, it times out at authenticating like people talk about, and waiting 20 mins is sort of an issue. I tried alt+enter, but no luck.

Minimum requirements P4 2GHz or AMD 2000+...oh really? The game runs perfectly at 800x600 with effects on high (without AA) on my 1.2 GHz AMD with a 64 MB GeForce3Ti200. Just like Doom3 that also runs beautifully at those settings.
Ok, I might not get the 200 fps, but who need that anyway? A movie is only 24/25 fps, and 30 is more than enough to get a smooth gameflow, and so far it works beautifully.

Well, from what I understand the master server is down. And I have joined some servers through xfire, the ones that respond immediately when I click them with a ping and don't just sit there.

I have updated to 1.04 now, the game starts but have to type in a real cdkey otherwise I cant play.
I didnt quite get what and where I should write all that stuff in notepad, any1 know what to d exactly?

i've read through the whole post and i noticed that, though a lot of ppl were asking 4 cracked servers, no one gave a damn list of servers!!! Do cracked servers 4 q4 even exist?? if they do exist, why not posting some freakin' servers instead of telling ppl to get vaseline's crack, which probably won't work?!?! Make it SIMPLE damnit!!
