That was enjoyable, more in a sadistic way rather than narratively speaking, but I'll take it. Unsurprisingly, if you cut the Dorne telenovelas and the mother of Durrgons, suddenly the show picks up again..who would have thought
I did dislike the ending though and how it was handled (felt almost comedic to me, they phoned it in), but that was an inevitable burden. Let's hope the whole thing doesn't become a living dank meme.
Pretty much this was so boring last season cause of that crap i sure hope they keep it to a minimum this season.
Improving.
Any ep without Dorne and The Dragon Mommy is a good one. Even Bran scenes didn't stink.
The main event felt rushed do.
Spoiler:
The theory of having J Snow come out of the flames, confirming he as some royal dragon blood akin to the dragon Mommy, was a better one. Maybe they might still do it
I think it's pretty cool that Oathkeeper, Briennes sword, was forged of the steel from the Stark family's two-handed sword. Valyrian steel. Now it is protecting Sansa again. I forgot who has the second sword they made.

Widow's Wail was with Joffrey's corpse the last time it was seen, guess Tommen inherited it like in the books, it'd be dumb to bury valyrian steel.

"It's my father's sword, and his father before him. The Mormonts have carried it for five centuries. It was meant for my son, Jorah. He brought dishonor to our House... but he had the grace to leave the sword before he fled from Westeros."
―Lord Commander Jeor Mormont
Ha-ha at Jorah not getting the awesome sword...
Widow's Wail has to resurface again, surely? I mean its a pretty special sword along with Oathkeeper. People know these weapons are rare, but it is not common knowledge they can be used versus the white walkers.
There's also the case of the Dragonglass knives and arrowheads found North of the wall. I want to see a Dragonglass sword or even armor.
"The Maesters call it 'obsidian'."
Obsidian spear (dragonglass)
According to Wikis, Stannis said to Sam in season 5 that there is Obsidian on Dragonstone island. Targaryens built a fortress there, but who besides Stannis, and now Sam, knows about this. Sam should relay this info to the Night's Watch / Free Folk army asap.

This part isn't a spoiler: Targaryens are not immune to fire. Daenerys wasn't burned in the first season because it wasn't real/normal fire. It was a ritual and she was safe in it, other people would have also been safe in the same conditions.
Targaryens have been injured/kiled by fire/heat in the past, so Daenerys and any other potential Targaryens would be in danger.
I hope they don't spend a whole episode next with everybody just looking confused after the ritual; maybe just a short while, but then get down to business.

Really? In the very first episode we see her getting into scalding hot water.
Yeah, that bothered me too, but it seems to be a mistake when translating the books to TV.
In the books, she's told that the water is scalding, but while she finds it hot she's still comfortable in it. More importantly, the handmaidens start washing her in the bath just fine. They're not hurt by the water either, so it seems like she was simply told "It's hot, wait a little" rather than "you'll suffer from third-degree burns" like what the show implies.
With that said, the show also further confuses us by having Daenerys pick one of the dragon eggs from a brazier, which doesn't burns her but does burn someone else taking the egg from her.
And then when her brother dies from the molten crown, she says something along the lines of "this wouldn't kill a real dragon/targaryen". A line that seemed poetic in the books, but instead seemed to be said literally in the show.
On the other hand: in the show she meets one of her dragons in the fighting pit. He's friendly toward her.
In the books he's not friendly and tries to burn her alive. She's scared of this, saying it would kill her, and she actually has burns and blisters afterward.
Ultimately, when asked about it, the author said:
"Granny: Do Targaryens become immune to fire once they "bond" to their dragons?
George_RR_Martin: Granny, thanks for asking that. It gives me a chance to clear up a common misconception. TARGARYENS ARE NOT IMMUNE TO FIRE! The birth of Dany's dragons was unique, magical, wonderous, a miracle. She is called The Unburnt because she walked into the flames and lived. But her brother sure as hell wasn't immune to that molten gold.
Revanshe: So she won't be able to do it again?
George_RR_Martin: Probably not."
So, it looks like the show exaggerated their resistance to fire. It's quite possible that they have a higher resistance than normal people (especially in the show), but they're not meant to be immune. If they stand in a real fire, they'll die.
I think it's pretty great if the Targaryens are rumored to be immune, but then on the battlefield it serves as a serious demotivator if one is burning to crisp by a fire arrow or something.

Jon Snow infiltrate Winterfell and kill Ramsay. The character is no longer compelling, just a one dimensional cartoon character. At this point it's "let's see what evil deeds he comes up with this week!"
Rip Shaggydog, this is not going to end well for Rickon

But then you will have
Spoiler:
even worst villain, people hated Joffery, now Ramsay took his place and more
Not my favorite episode to put it mildly. At least there's some progression with a few of the characters. Now we wait for next week's episode.
Daenerys stuff is so boring. Arya stuff is boring. Sam stuff is boring. This episode had all of those to really drag the quality of the episode down. Ah well.
