So the Lannisters are about teh fight the people and high Sparrow, which they can't win, the Dorn is coming for them, little Finger has an army will proly use it against Ramsey, the Tyrells may get pissed off with their heirs in the dungeon.

Lannnisters are kinda screwed.

She's one of the Children of the Forest...

"a mysterious non-human race that were reportedly the original inhabitants of the continent of Westeros".

"In the present day, most believe that they are simply the stuff of myth and never existed at all. Even the few that do believe they once existed, such as Maester Luwin or Ned Stark, believe that they have long since gone extinct."

It was obvious that John is a key person to the story arch, in no way it's a fan fiction.

GRRM hinted years ago that he wasn't gone for good:

Quote:
Jon's presence in the forthcoming volume The Winds of Winter is uncertain; when asked in 2011 by Entertainment Weekly "Why did you kill Jon Snow?", author Martin responded "Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?"[6] Asked later whether Jon was killed or will survive, Martin responded with a laugh, "I will not comment on that."

Don't forget that there was a dude in earlier seasons who got revived from absolute death around 6 times, Arya met him and asked him whether it'd be possible to revive someone without a head (her father obviously); the guy told him "lol, no it has its limits", and that every time he came back he had lost a part of himself, I dunno if he meant his soul or personality like spiritual, or physically because he didn't have an eye etc. So although this is extremely powerful and apparently extremely rare, it can be done by different people with the gift, I guess.

What happened to the Mountain can't really be compared, that's some sort of reanimation zombie stuff, although to be in that state he does take orders like a champ.

That was enjoyable, more in a sadistic way rather than narratively speaking, but I'll take it. Unsurprisingly, if you cut the Dorne telenovelas and the mother of Durrgons, suddenly the show picks up again..who would have thought Razz

I did dislike the ending though and how it was handled (felt almost comedic to me, they phoned it in), but that was an inevitable burden. Let's hope the whole thing doesn't become a living dank meme.

The showrunners tell the book readers to not worry about spoilers, as they admit they changed most of the storyline.

Oh dear, this is not going to be pretty Surprised

So the books' gotta be canon when they conflict with the tv-show, right? I thought the show had entered uncharted territories now and that it remained to be seen whether the books would mirror the show or not.

Well, if ol' Georgie was to croak and they had some other writer (like R.A. Salvatore Cool Face) write the rest of it based on his notes, would you still consider it canon? Very Happy

The show cuts a lot of corners, has removed a lot of tertiary characters etc., but the broad strokes of it is very much from GRRM himself. Jon was always going to be resurrected, I don't see how anyone could've doubted that. The endgame, for the most part, will most likely be the same in the show and the books, if those ever get released.

Did the people complaining about the changes in the show, read the last two books? The only changes they made which are illogical, are the Dorne parts.

And not all changes have been for the worse, I'm glad they did away with Tyrion's misadventures in Essos.

Why Stannis, Tywin, Rob, Ned Stark or anyone else could not be revived? It seems it's easy so will we see this kind of stuff more often?

I don't like this kind of cheap plot cheats.

I'm still sad that Lady Stark didn't get ressurected shortly after the Red Wedding happened.

Some people spoilered, that she would come back as Lady Stoneheart. Which sadly never happened. Sad

It's hardly plot cheat when you setup a plot point several seasons ago, just to show that people can get ressurected sometimes and just so that it can get reminded in a very blunt way prior to the actual deed.
