Yea NG+ so far is a disappointment.
Only found a few rings +1, but that was it.
No new equipment so far (killed Crystal Sage). Bosses also have no new mechanics and die rather fast with the upgraded equipment.
Was going to make a NG+ playthrough with a few different decisions for the NPCs. But this is just boring.
// Only new equipment i got was the Firelink Armor and Firelink Greatsword- which are rewards from killing the endboss i guess.
I finished the mandatory content of NG+, there is a new sword from Twin Princes which is really cool and a bunch of new rings, but that's kinda it.
DS2 had a lot more to offer in NG+ (there were 4 new boss souls and weapons only available by playing NG+).
DS2 was the only one I played on NG+ and yeah, it's cool that they add enemies and all that, but I also found it way more annoying to play. Enemies are just absolute damage sponges. In a normal playthrough you can feel that progression, as your weapons get better, your character the same, your Estus the same, along with the enemies. In NG+ there isn't really any of that, you just need to whack a lot more times at enemies with the same weapons. So yeah, I wasn't a fan. So I'm glad this doesn't add much in NG+ as I like to miss as very few things as possible on a playthrough, in any game.

Is PvP level based? I'm not able to see any signs outside Pontiff bonfire anymore.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Finished the game. Loved it, both PvP and Pve. Invaded a ton and did many duels.
However it will never surpass Demon's Souls for me. Now that I am finished I don't have the feeling to start it again to do NG+. Maybe in a while.
I remember when I played DeS I started right away. Wish DaS3 had like a world tendency as well. It was wonky but I loved it, making the game harder in black world tendency in DeS and having new enemies and events added was great for NG+.
So far I love every Soul game and they never disappoint. Hope I can play Bloodborne someday.
Yeah from what I saw of a playthrough of Demons Souls the world tendency mechanic was very interesting but sadly it didn't carry over to the other games, also really liked the design of that game or how to say, would probably be pretty dated by now if it was just straight ported over to PC but eh maybe the exclusivity period will expire some time and then they could do a updated version for multi-platform release then, I doubt that's anytime soon though if they ever go back to Demons Souls.
(Should be before the Bloodborne multi-platform release though so hey that's something. )
EDIT: Seems From is interesting in doing a new franchise so probably they'll focus on that and perhaps a sequel to Bloodborne if Sony wants that.
(No imminent plans for a Dark Souls continuation as I understood it, years from now perhaps.)
Higher poise means you resist blows better but ultimately dodging is going to be the key factor or otherwise avoiding the attack as they changed the poise system for this game.
@Bob Barnsen Thanks. Played some PvP. Couple of matches were hilarious (falling to death and got 1 hit KO ), but the reward is pretty bad. Ended up doing some random co-op instead.
Anybody else faced the bug during Twin princess fight where he doesn't do anything? Just stuck in one place? Happened around 4-5 times today.

I guess I'd better take a note of most spells damage numbers to see how much they are gonna nerf it..again
They can't possibly make magic even more useless apart from some utility spells and buffs every dmg spell with the exception of Great Chaos Fire Orb (only PVE it's useless in PVP ) is totally shit if they nerf that spell as well i'm getting really pissed.
Actually damage wise sorcerers are better than pyromancer but only in the end-game and if sorcs use at least 4 (out of 5) +damage items. I'm not talking about PvP though It's a disaster except for sniping players from a distance with soul stream (obscuring ring is a must) lol
Take a look at this.
NG
SL=120
INT=60
Court Sorcerer Staff+10
I
Raw Magic Damage vs Lothric Knight(Lothric castle bonfire):
II
Buffed (Young Dragon Ring +12%,Crown Of Dusk +10%,Scholar's Candlestick +20%,Bellowing
Dragoncrest Ring +20%) Magic Damage vs Lothric Knight(Lothric castle bonfire):
soul arrow (7 FP) =411
great soul arrow (11 FP)= 506
heavy soul arrow (11 FP) =770
great heavy soul arrow (14 FP)= 869
farron dart (3 FP) =130
great farron dart (4FP)= 156
homing soulmass (20 FP) =594
homing crystal soulmass (53 FP)= 889
soul spear (40 FP)=898
crystal soul spear (55 FP) = 1095
white dragon breath (30 FP) = 952
soul stream (60 FP)= ~ 1200-1300+ (more or less..it oneshots these knights so the damage could be actually even better)
soul greatsword (28 FP) =711
However.. compare some spells damage & FP cost... It doesn't make any sense.
For instance,
Great heavy soul arrow (14 FP)= 869 (999 if I equip the 5th +damage item(ring) but I don't like having it on coz it severely reduces melee defenses)
