keep an eye on vcdquality.com ... it'll turn up there (often with a jpeg sample and with some discussion on quality).
asus z170-A || core i5-6600K || geforce gtx 970 4gb || 16gb ddr4 ram || win10 || 1080p led samsung 27"

So why posting in this thread ??? To tell ppl you dont like it ? You feel better now ?
I cant wait to see this movie. Peter Jackson is a damn good director. And he makes the movies HE wants to make. If you think King Kong looks like shit, go and make a movie yourself. I guess it wont reach the "quality" of Gigli. |
Why post? Cuz I fuckin can and yes, to tell ppl i dont like it

First you make stupid post that the cgi suck without even seing the movie and now this? |
No, I said from what ive seen on the commercials, the cgi does suck. It may turn out to be awesome, but from what ive seen it doesnt look good...also, the storyline, about a giant ape, isnt all that appealing to me, wtf is wrong with that?
yet, I did say Im prolly gunna end up going to theatre to see it...
and yes, I can post about something i dont like - like tons of other ppl do. dont like it, dont fuckin read, much less reply and jump on the band wagon...

LoTR storyline about a little golden ring sounds fun? Cant judge a movie before you seen it just becouse its about a giant ape.

The credits were rolling almost 2 hours ago ...
A bit of a slow start I thought but I guess that was just all part of the introduction to the characters. The entire island sequence was amazing and despite what anyone else thinks, the CGI was really impressive in my opinion.
Yes this is a spoiler so dont click the link unless you have seen the movie or dont care about knowing what happens
Spoiler: | I loved the the dinosaurs and the fight scenes with Kong when he was constantly trying to protect Ann Darrow especially when they were all falling down the chasm and got tangled in the vines! Fantastic stuff! The other island inhabitants were cool too and the scripted events they were all involved in. Lumpy the chef was great and stole the show until his jaw dropping demise! Overall it was a great movie but I have to say I think there was one thing that ruined it for me unless someone can provide some feasible explanation for it.
So Jack Driscoll rescues Ann Darrow with Kong in pursuit. They all get to the boats and try to leave the island whilst attempting to subdue Kong with the chloroform. At this point I am thinking how the hell does Kong get to New York, this should be interesting! And what happens?! Carl Denham throws the bottle and Kong collapses. Then in the next scene they're all back in New York! I found that quite annoying. I dont recall ever seeing the original so Im not sure how this compares but half the crew were dead and I would think an unconcious, considerably oversized giant gorilla weighs quite a bit so how on Earth do they get him to the boat and is the boat likely to hold his weight without sinking?! Maybe Im thinking too much into it but didnt anyone else think that!? |
May the NFOrce be with you always.

What I really loved about this movie was the importance of the action sequences, especially those on the island.
Its very rare that long action sceens are needed to progress the story, but here they really were needed.
Overall a great movie, though some glitches are a bit too big for a movie like this.
first, the one headshot talked about.
Spoiler: | Then also the entire ending of the movie. Thinking about that the ice didn't break when Kong was on it, means it had to be really really cold, still Ann wore just a thin dress and didn't seem to be cold at all. |

It seems it's a commercial failure.
Whether that makes a bad movie however, is another question entirely.
Oftentimes, the majority is stupid.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Spoiler: | A boat is surprisingly boyant. Think about in roman / egyptiantimes how they carried pillars and obelisks. The stone's usually came from 'spiritual' places and not the places they're errected so this was a long journey by boat, but by no means impossible.
Yes the t-rex thing was really nice. Especially when he swings in and fucks em all off with the kick |

Spoiler: |
They still had to put him on the boat, which would be hard, since most of them are injured in one way or another |

i find it odd people complain about bits in the movie not being realistic...
THIS MOVIE IS ABOUT A BIG MAN EATING MEGA HUGE GIANT APE BEING TAKEN TO NEW YORK IN THE 30'S
now.. the movie is not suppose to be realistic.. or am i the only person who picked up on that
Or is there really a place called skull island where villages do that kinda shit... lol

Its not about it being realistic, we all know that its fiction, but just because its fiction doesn't mean that anything goes.
As i said, the movie rules, but a bit more thought should have been put in to some scenes, thats all im saying.
like the boat thing, it just felt like "we don't know how to do this, so lets just cut to the next scene".

Or maybe they thought... the movie's long enough as it is. Is it really important how they loada the gorilla onto a boat?!
