His relationship with Triss is a lot more even - and definitely the one that appeals to me the most. |
Yea, was thinking the same, but:
He is probably more inclined - due to his special nature also - to try and 'tame the beast'. There's a challenge that's probably more attractive than the more 'natural'/'normal' Triss...
Fuck knows... Had 'such' GF in RL for 2 years, when I was in high-school. She ended up posing in Playboy and becoming an 'actress', so I was damn lucky to NOT continue the relation with her.

Triss in this game doesn't feel like a person, more like a waifu cliche.

i personally felt triss became 'less' each game. in the first one she was a woman.. second game she felt more like a naive girl...
third game she was more like some doe-eyed teenager crushin on geralt, which made yenn's full on 'woman' portrayal lot more palatable to me.
i dont know what problems I might have had if witcher 1 triss and witcher 3's yennifer had to go head to head, but the way it turned out in witcher 3, yennifer was more interesting and won hands down for me. She was miles away more interesting and a better match for geralt than triss felt by the time witcher 3 rolled around.
Also, i never really liked how manipulative triss was, taking advantage of geralts amnesia. Yennifer also 'used' geralt however she saw fit, but she was always very open about that, and how their relationship was... and honestly i kinda respected that about her.

Yennifer manipulated Geralt both openly and not so openly.
But I guess it all comes down to taste. I'm much more attracted to "common" and kind women than overtly selfish and partially cruel women.
Also, I prefer big tits.

I DID read - like I said - 'The Last Wish' and I can clearly see, mirrored in the game, the way she was portrayed in that chapter. It didn't captured me then and it didn't now.
Though, it's fairly easy to understand Geralt's passion for her. Luckily, the player's choice can be different. |
I played the game, not the book. So I comment about the characters in the game(s), not the book.

The characters from the games are projections from the books. Yes, there's a 'different', following narrative in the games, but still, background information helps in understanding some characters' motives.

Spoiler: | And also cared for him deeply and died beside him, exhausting all her energy in a fruitless attempt to magicaly heal his mortal wounds (while Triss just stood there and watched). |
Think of putting such info in spoiler tags in the future, please.

Still, kinda unhappy about having that ending spoiled.
Maybe that's just me, though.

Book has been around for ages, and it was spoiled in the game anyway (al three of them to some point actually ). Dandelion even tells you he was there when Spoiler: | Geralt | died.
So, Spoiler: | Geralt an Yen | died and were transported to Spoiler: | Avalon, the Isle of Mists (different universe one) | by Spoiler: | Ciri |
That's why I was so surprised the game had an certain Plot Related Island of it's own.
BTW. Travelling with a certain elf? Priceless. The scenery was just so beautiful.
