The Nameless King is such a bullshit fight. Due to the crappy FoV I can't even see where he is most of the time so I can't avoid his attacks.
I don't know if this will help you but ixigia posted this:

I don't know if it's a riposte, but in case you guys want to fiddle with the FOV and increase it a bit there's this. F1 to enable it -> + and - to change the values. I'm using it, definitely feels better now
in this video, how does he move around the enemy so fast without rolling (with keyboard)? I use Keyboard and i always roll around which uses stamina so much and doesnt bring me behind the enemy so fast for a backstab?
What you mean with "so fast"?
Of course you can't backstab every enemy so easy. But like you saw in the video, the enemies did attacks with longer animations. That's when you have enough time to get behind them.
I find backstabs easier than parrys to do too. At least the risk is not as high with a backstab, but damage seems to be the same.
He's wearing light armor (from looks). Guess, lower the weight, the faster you move?
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
There actually was a video posted before: Armor (none or heavy) doesn't affect your run speed. It might look faster, but you arrive at a point as fast despite your armor.
@djaoni Hmm, strange. The speed/fluidity is less smoother when using Exile armor compared to other armor sets despite having less than 70% weight load.
It's probably because you roll longer that it feels like it's faster.
You have same i-frames and everything as long as you're below 70%.
I don't know. You seems to go farther in your rolls without armor. It may be a placebo effect or my eyes are tricking me.
Like i faced that big crystal lizard and the first boss (Gundnyr) with and wiithout armor as a test. It seemed much easier to roll-dodge without any body armor than with the starting mercenary set.
Again maybe im hallucinating or just used to the animation of rolling in light armor since i've been doing that in every DS game so far. Rlolling in medium/heavy armor feel more sluggish. Iframes may be the same but the animation isn't

Yeah, it's a bit of a problem, and yet not that big of a problem. You learn his moves and can avoid most of it when you die enough. It's only a short problem anyway.
hmm when I lock on an enemy like He did and stand close and use left or right arrows on Keyboard, He never moves around the enemy so quickly, is there really no Trick behind it?
Anyone found any good soul farming spots? I used to kill the giants while using silver serpent ring and the mimic chest head right outside Sulyvahn for around 12k souls each time. Curiously the other locations i find on the net are worse than this one.
It's really weird, but as much as the series is repeating, i don't tire from it. If they were releasing a new game, i'd be overjoyed again
Need to play Bloodborne though
I kind of disagree. Having played Bloodborne, DS3 feels like the final gift - the sent off to the old ways. The game's great, but it feels outdated. It didn't awe me as much anymore because I've seen what they could do. Bloodborne on the other hand feels like Dark Souls 1, a masterpiece that has a lot of potential.
If FROM will ever make another Souls game, for me it needs to at least be Bloodborne 2, or a complete new setting. New mechanics to combat...weapon arts alone I don't think was anywhere as good as trick weapons, it felt like a step down.
Just did more testing. Equip load DOES affect rolling speed and reach. Sure you won't fat rolls if you are at 69% load but there is still clearly a difference betweem different % of equip load. I'm currently at 49"8 % and rolling is more effective than if i was at let's say 60%.
Just try it for yourself. Try rolling at 60%ish equip load and then remove all your equip and roll again. You'll quickly realize that you can chain rolls much faster with a lower % equip load. I've read that there is no difference to rolls to any % below 70% but that's not true at all. Iframes may be the same but the fact that you will roll farther while lighter means that you can avoid attacks more easily. You can also cover distance more quickly
Not sure about the tiers but it seems to be in 10% blocks although i could be wrong on this since i haven't tested all %
The wiki says
0-30% Fastest state: very fast rolls that go the furthest, with 13 iframes. Fast Backsteps
30-70% Regular state: medium rolls with 13 iframes. Fast Backsteps
70-100% Slow state: "fat" slow and short rolls, 12 iframes Slow Backsteps.
Over 100% Overburdened: cannot roll or backstep
But im not sure if that's accurate because as i said i do notice a difference between 49 and 69%. Just test it yourself . If im wrong (and i could be) than i need to get my eyes and brain checked i guess lol
It's all an illusion. This game doesn't have gradual roll differences like Dark Souls 1.

You'll find what you're looking for in a genre often known as "Spectacle Fighter".

That's strange. You should be able to use it anywhere.

Any idea why I lost my cracked red eye orb after invasion cancelled before it started? I joined the host, but soon it threw me back to my world.
Edit: now nothing happened and I lost the orb again.

Yeah well nope, while BB was nice it was an Action-adventure and not a Action RPG like the DS series it lacked the variety and depth that makes the DS games so great i don't see myself replaying it ever cause it would play essentially the same while i can replay DS games a lot and try totally different builds and things.
Honestly you just sound to me like games with RPG elements are not for you and maybe you should stick to pure Action games.
Anyway they shouldn't stop making Action RPGs in favor of pure Action games that would be a total let down.
