Going for that high DEX , high END , light armor , fast rolls build again i guess. Always had lot of succcess in DS1 and DS2 with that. It's also a shitload of fun as you can juste dance around the enemies , counter attack quickly then back off. I'm a veteran though and know the mechanics per heart. Not sure i would recommend to a complete newb as your low/mid VIT mean that you must know what you,re doing and you must be pretty good at rolling , parrying and doging hits.
I do want to play a rolling spec, but i'm just too used to shields, so i'll probably land there this time as well:lol: Well, it's challenging in it's own way anyways.
You can still use shields with a DEX build . You just won't be able to use the heavier ones like Tower Shields etc due to lack of STR/VIT
And while smaller shields aren't as good as the big ones, they are less heavy and do help to mitigate some damage. Trust me even though my primary source of avoiding damage is rolling and dodgning , i still have my shield up 95% of the time when i'm moving forward
I finished my last playthrough without giving more than 5 points to vit. I was still a turtle bitch with as much armor as possible at <25%, thanks to good shields and strong weapons
yea vit was always one of my least important stats, only put a few points into it for a quick hp boost once my main stats started giving diminishing returns.

yep, also switching to 2 handed mode is so fast anyway that you can land a few strong hits before retreating and changing to shield.

Exactly, That's what i like about a DEX build , it's pretty versatile and quick, You can 1 hand/shild and two hands while being effective at rolling at the same time and you can switch on the fly depending on the situation You can also use bows for long range if necessary since most of them scale well with DEX (well that was the case in DS2 so probably the same in DS3).
Also high END mean that you can chain more actions more quickly. That's more valuable then having more equip load or health of you are all about dodging , rolling and "going in and out"

3 hours from playing the fourth sequel (5th if you count Bloodborne) to my favorite series ever. A Dark Souls release is always a very special moment for me. And i don,t work tomorrow so i'm probably gonna play this shit from 6pm to 6am or something like that
