Hello Everyone!
I have a strange problem with my MSI X99A mobo. Im gonna explain it as quick as possible:
First time: turned on my rig. bios wont even post, just blank screen, fans spinning, power on led...nothing more. Reset/turn off (unplugging PSU) didn't help (tried it like 10 times). Switched to bios B (since its a dual bios mobo) and the rig would start just fine. Shutdown, switching back to A but no luck. Still the same black screen. Reflashed bios A and of course it would start up without any problems.
Second: After 3-5 days it's back. Bios A, wont post, switching to B and the system would boot up just fine. Leaving the rig to its fate for 8 hours (since work) and when I got home I've just tried it once again with bios A. This time the rig would boot up fine, without any problems. (and without reflashing A)
3rd time: post, windows 10 logo and it freezes there. After a reset it would load up windows fine.
No freezes in win10/games. System is running 15 hours a day, but not a single problem in windows. No overclocked components! CPU is 60 degrees under heavy load, gpu is around the same after a gaming session.
Any ideas?

Reset BIOS by switching the Jumper or removing the BIOS battery?
That fixed your first problem for me some days ago, as something went wront while overclocking in the BIOS.

I don't see why would that solve the problem (no offense), since when the problem arose tjhe first time, I reflashed the bios and it happened again after a few days.
And as of right now I don't have any particular problem. My system is up and running, and It would probably start up without any problem if I restart it. My main problem is that "probably" word... when this boot/bios problem kicks in. What could cause this?

Could be any number of things.
Could be an issue with defective memory modules or potentially a faulty motherboard.
It might even be an unstable power supply.

yeah, ran a memtest but it didn't show any errors (yet).
What's really odd is that when the os actually starts up the system is rock solid stable.

I blame damaged BIOS chip (actually an SPI Flash memory; it may happen that some bits get flipped due to hardware damage, so the BIOS code loads some nonsense configuration and then blocks). Other possibility is problem on the SPI bus between BIOS chip and the CPU. Locate the chip and check its pins, maybe they are dirty or the soldering is funny (can be easily fixed).
System is rock stable once it boots, because modern OSes don't rely on BIOS routines to access hardware, so they don't touch it once they are up.
