Yeah mine is showing £499. But not including shipping. I'm reading on reddit people are thinking it's a good will gesture by oculus. I'm sure the shipping costs will be added later.

Anyone noticed that they changed the price? It used to say (atleast for me) €749, but now it says

Estimated Total: €699.00"

Edit: I hope we can logon to Rift Store once its shipped (can we do that already?) and pre-download stuff in time for the arrival.

How about you take me off ignore or learn to read.

They offer free shipping because of teh delay.

Hmmm im getting REALLY close to switching to Vive.

Im just waiting for someone to compare CV1 and Vive. Waiting to see what downsides both of them have.

Do it quick. The site is showing an April dispatch Smile

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews yet. I guess the next week or so they will start.

What i've gathered so far:

Bad with CV1: Slightly less vertical FOV than Vive, slightly more shimmering effect on very bright objects (especially white text on black background). The padded face rest leaves red marks on your face, the Vive does not (both are comfortable, but Vive's is softer).

Better with CV1: The Rift controller seems slightly better than Vive's (comfort/ergonomics) - probably very down to user preference. Audio seems better. Read numerous reports that overall ergonomics and weight is a bit better.

For me it will come down to the titles, in the end that will matter more than if the vertical FOV feels like its 5% smaller or whatever. It would obviously be a lot smarter to wait a year and see what happens, not sure i can though, been waiting so long for this..

Supposedly that thing about refreshing and ordering again to get a earlier date is a bug and HTC has stated that they will fix that and will fix the order line again to the way it should be, so i dont think that ordering now under an April estimate is a guarantee that you will get it in april.

I know all the problems with Rift, but i still havent seen reviews on the Vive, as soon as people start reporting the comparison ill be deciding. Nothing has really put me off the Rift, maybe the haloing thing, but i dont want to go Vive if the SDE and Image quality is lower. Since im mainly looking at VR for Flight sims and Race sims Sad i need the best quality i can get.

Motion etc. meh i wanna try it but.... not my main focus.

Another more accurate FoV comparison:
http://doc-ok.org/?p=1414

TLDR:
Total binocular FoV at ideal eye to lens distance:

DK2 94° x 105°

Vive 110° x 113°

Rift 94° x 93°

Yeah, I'm playing it. Slightly smoother than Alpha and obviously more content.
There's a few reviews up and loads of hands on (literally just google eve valkyrie review
Destructoid

My actual favourite game on it right now is Pinball. Can play it for ages without wanting to puke

Seeing you mention pinball got me curious about pinball VR and it seems PFX2 has a VR release as well.. which should make my brother go apeshit Very Happy I came across this;

What is the runtime for everyone here? For me, on Chrome, it's 1m4s. If I load it in FF or Edge it's 12m21s. Mind Is Full Of Fuck

~edit~

Ahhh... I can fix it with Magic Actions by enabling "Use MP4/AVC video stream when available" option. Weird.

Pinball looks fun indeed, lots of times i've been thinking about buying a table, but they're too expensive and take up a lot of space + might need repairs after a while etc, this will be virtually the same, but without the hassle Wink
