Xbox Head Talks Gaming Across Xbox One and PC
Spencer says he'd never force somebody to play against someone with a different control method.
Xbox head Phil Spencer was at Microsoft's Build keynote today to say the company is working on making Windows 10 a "great gaming experience." Spencer spoke to press after the conference and although Microsoft wants to strengthen ties between PC and Xbox One, that doesn't mean all first-party games are coming to both.
"Our intent is for when the genres and creative makes sense in both spaces that we'll put our games in both spaces," Spencer explained. "I don't want to make it some kind of artificial mandate because then I think we end up with a 'Frankengame' that really wasn't meant for a certain platform. And because some suit said 'Hey, everything's gotta run on both platforms,' you end up with something people don't want."
Spencer said that certain games will be better suited to playing them in front of a monitor with a keyboard and mouse, while others will be better sitting "10 feet away from he screen with a controller in [your] hand."
The Xbox boss confirmed that keyboard and mouse will work on Xbox eventually, so playing PC-style games will eventually be easier on Microsoft's console. However, he says he will make sure players will never be forced to play against others with different control methods.

I used to love AFD when I was a kid, it was a wonderful time for merriment and pranks.. but as a gamer, and then growing up as an adult gamer, it really is a mean horrible terrible day
Played the war thunder ships bit, pretty extensive for an april fools thing(although in line with the my little pony stuff they did) Hope its at least in some fashion a test for water physics and whatnot.
Fun for a game or 2, this the kinda april fools stuff I can get into, beats lame joke press releases and whatnot.
For me April Fools day is pretty much dead. It was interesting when the internet first came around. But now it's so publicized, expected, and overdone.
Even when I was young, people would forget it was april fools day and you could actually trick them. Let's keep in mind that the original intention behind april fools day was not to simply prank people in that "Oh hey look we turned all our desks around in the classroom hahahah lolomg sorandom #11yearsold" but it was instead to try and fool people into believing something was true.
Early on before all the attention was on it, there was the odd one that could fool people. Now it's like, let's just make a bunch of ridiculous shit that no one will ever believe that is so obviously false.

I hate this day too since i matured. Especially in regards to gaming. As i read some cool news on that, and sometimes still get trolled that what i read was just a joke.

b: the use or language of sarcasm
I already went from enjoying AFD to hating it to finally not giving a shit. Maybe you guys who hate it will get there too (but I agree, it's pretty lame, and with each year it seemed to get even worse, it's sort of like E3)
With great inspiration by Nintendo we were finally able to run the SNES console version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The Super Nintendo controller works perfectly with our combat system and the 16Bit graphics look stunning with smooth analog 60FPS. Amazing!
I generally don't have a problem with these jokes, but I rarely find them amusing either.
That said, I've been genuinely fooled a couple of times when it comes to "cool stuff" in gaming - and I find that experience to be anything but positive.
Do you know that feeling after you've had the most amazing experience, only to wake up and realise it was just a dream?
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
