It's not that great unfortunately weakest part by far even worse then 3, but nothing will ever top Fatal Frame 2 for me it's right up there with silent Hill 2 as one of the best psychological Horror games ever made.
The WII version was fantastic.

Too bad Wiiu has only handfull of games worth playing.. IMO

The lack of 3rd party support is really killing the console of most of interest ASIDE of Nitendo's games and very few 3rd parties that has left.

I love Zelda and Project Zero though.

I originally dismissed the Wii U but having bought one for my nephew, I'm actually very surprised by it. When properly used, the combination of a gamepad and a TV screen can do so many things. Sadly enough, most devs are too thick to get the most out of it.

Example: Minecraft. Surely the gamepad would be an obvious solution for the inventory, with touch controls letting you craft, right? Nope, sorry - not possible *facepalm* Such a wasted opportunity and it only goes to show how developers are incredibly lazy when it comes to utilizing consoles to their limits.

Tried again today Silent Hill Shattered Memories with the latest Dolphin and still no go. Sad Huge frame drops especially on cutscenes and open areas. Cutscenes are sluggish as shit. Flashlight issue is still present. Tried OpenGL and DirectX but to no avail. It's time to let go Dolphin for good. Sad

Could you please post screenshots of your Dolphin settings ? It's making me crazy. Confused

Edit: forgot to mention a huge problem....I can't shake off the monsters ! I've followed the instructions but looks like I'm too dumb to comprehend. Maybe I'm just too old. Very Happy

As a result of this thread I tried cemu 1.0.4.0., WOW! I grabbed NSMB WiiU and it's pretty much playable. Main issue seems to be the missing coins which so far isn't a big deal.

I also tried Dolphin finally with NSMB Wii. I see alot of Wii gaming in my future. The 1080p upscale really makes the difference for me.

Progress on it is very impressive anyhow, I'm surprised XCX even looks as good as it does at this early stage.

PS4's emulation (at basic stages, maybe for some hombrew) might actually possible(or at least very, very soon) at this point, because the recent PS4's exploits,it's too early to tell how long or complex it will be to emulate the system...

As for Cemu,I am going to test Project Zero 5 soon, tough I don't think it's on playble state.

You're not going to be emulating the PS4 itself. At all. Seriously. However! What you are likely to see is an application layer like WINE, same with the XBONE, getting the PS/XB titles to run natively under Windows as opposed to emulating the PS/XB hardware.

Wiiu hacked and after around months to year after>>>>Emulation started to be workn on... Same goes for ps3( rpcs3 is from 2011) it's just took more for rpcs3 for various reasons to get to the current progress.

It's obvious Cemu progressing faster.. Mabey Wiiu is less complex system?

PS4 is going to be publicy jailbroken at least for earlier fw soon.

cemu's progress is indeed impressive.

I wonder why Nintendo consoles seem to get more attention from emu developers (wii, ds, now wiiU) while the other machines (ps360) are still far from reaching playable levels of accuracy.
Is Nintendo hardware just simpler? Is there more interest to emulate it? Do they use the same basic architecture for every console so all that is needed is to build on top of the previous emu's efforts?

At any rate, good news.

As for ps4: as it was said time and time again: no jailbreak = no emulation. This might indeed change pretty soon tho...

My strong guess: The weak hardware Nintendos consoles have.
Which in return makes it easier to (bruteforce) emulate with current PC hardware.

Hey no problem, I unfortunately couldn't get through the game with the random fps drops. It's a shame it does not work. I wonder if it has to do with the film grain overlay thats in the game.

Seems to me that Nintendo consoles can be emulated with high level emulation with good results, from N64 to current ones.

@xDBS,

Looks like your recommended settings solved the flashlight issue ! Thanks ! Cutscenes are still unbearable sluggish and probably it won't change whatever I do with the settings. Also, there is still a problem with shaking off enemies !

So, OpenGL, 4x Native, AF 16x and AA is off.
