I didnt have high hopes for older drivers to solve it but I decided to try few versions out and I decided to try those 359.06 you mentioned first and... clocks works on them perfectly even after sleep mode.
The fuck is nvidia on doing all this time, fixing sli stuff when something as simple as clocks cycles is bugged for a 660 ti that I think is still pretty damn popular card. Seriously nvidia is so proud of themselves for their drivers but they are a bugfest.

last week several people were "you shouldn't do that, why would you want your card to work on default speed all the time.." when I recommended that same thing

These are also said to fix a power-state issue with energy saving causing lower than intended performance in some games on certain GPU's going by the Guru3D forum topic, also uses a older Vulkan runtime for some reason (It's a separate sub-branch of the 364.xx series apparently so it probably didn't have the newest version of Vulkan merged into it before release.) but that shouldn't make any real difference outside of the Vulkan SDK itself.
EDIT: But yeah it might take a new main branch for some of the issues with the 360 series to be fully fixed, 365.xx can't be too far off if they are already at .96 now, though I suppose if it needs to they can go above .99 and the actual driver branch used could be lower than the release number the driver has.

Running the 364.91 Vulkan set since release, good driver set. One of the best in quite a while.

you can pick how long to snap shot now? I thought it was default to the last 20 mins or something, I don't use it as I don't want that shit can of doom called experience installed. Or have they given us better options for that shit these days.

Yeah, I don't use anything in experience other than shadowplay. some games take 0 hit with shadow recording. dying light literally 0 impact. on the other hand, u3 engine games tend to increase gpu usage by aroun 10% with shadow recording.
geforce experience itself, with shadowplay disabled though, no resource usage.
I simply use my regular method of unzip the driver and installing just driver+phsyx and then I install GFE separately.

why do you do the GFE seperate witch? what is the purpose of unticking it then re running the installer later? What I would like is no GFE but shadowplay install seperate. I guess they are linked in someway though, I also install phyx and driver only. But always wanted to check out shadowplay, unfortunately I do not want GFE to fuck with profiles.

I don't know which entries to delete from the installer to have GFE still work so I do it this way. I don't untick GFE, I simply delete all the folders before even runing setup, to prevent useless backend services from being installed. Even if you just select driver+phsyx, it will install the backend stuff.
But yeah, shadowplay is a part of GFE because they know it's the only way to get the majority to install it.
It doesn't mess with your profiles unless you let it though. on first run you can disable that crap before it makes any changes. I just turn it all off, and toggle shadowplay on/off as I need it.

what backend stuff is installed still when only installing drivers and phyx? :O never thought it would do that but that is annoying. When I update shortly again I will try all this out.

No it will not, as long as you extract driver package, and delete said files beforehand
First thing I do with every Nvidia update.
This is what you want...
NVI2 is needed for setup purposes, graphics during install, tick boxes etc, else it will fail.
Lets look at bloat...
The backend stuff is located in 'Update.Core' folder, and if you don't remove, then it gets installed, regardless of what you choose upon installation.
You still take big chances installing the GBloat Experience, and/or ShadowBloat though, as they require 'hidden' nasties to be installed with them, most probably 'backend'.
Little wonder these driver sets have swelled to near 400 Mb download, and 900Mb extracted!

Yeah, I meant in the official untouched installer. it will install backend stuff even if you select the driver+phsyx only in the installer, not if you clean up the installer before running setup.
That's what moose was asking about. why am I doing a manual install instead of just ticking features on/off it in the installer.
but yes, installing GFE afterwards will install backend service again, but at least just the bare minimum for running GFE. Didn't experiment with the GFE installer to see if it can be bypassed.
this is the memory footprint I get doing the manual driver+phsyx and then GFE install with shadowplay turned on. without GFE, only the last 3 entries would remain, and even those can be disabled by setting nvidia helper service to manual, so those 3 would start only when you open Nvidia cpanel.
without tweaking anything, it's 50mb of RAM, I can deal with that for the awesome shadowplay feature.
