Thanks Creative Assembly.

Hence the use of the unclear term "some", more like "a lot of".
What, the video game wasn't speaking enough for itself visually? I'm shocked.

Read an interview just now from a console website where the journo asks if mechanics from Alien Isolation ended up in Warhammer - Total War and since they're doing Halo Wars 2 for consoles, can we also expect this game on consoles?
Christ, they must've picked the company cleaning lady's retarded nephew to make the interview.

From what they have shown world map mode gameplay has been (on some cases) simplify even more...
They always concentrate too much effort into battle mode and not enough to kingdom/empire management.
NextGen TW games dont have enough meaty content to keep me invested in long term campaign gameplays (which is a shame, since e.g. combo between TW and EU4 would be a godsend).

Up to this point, Chaos seems to be the best faction. Good thing the yarr version will have it, eventually.

Combat-wise probably. But what are they going to do with the strategy map component though? It wouldn't surprise me if it is far more basic than the other factions. You don't make cheap cash-in DLC only to put a lot of development effort into it.

Going at it the other way might be what they've done instead, making a full fledged faction and then block it off behind a DLC so it's not just like in the Total War games where a mod made a minor non-playable faction playable.

Yeah thinking about it that probably would be more work than it would be worth for them for a quick pre-order DLC.
(It's more like something they'd add in a expansion or larger add-on DLC I guess.)

My gut says they were originally just an AI skirmishing faction, randomly spawning and fucking shit up in northern territories, then moving south. They were likely intending on having them as a full faction in a later game, because how could you not, but then realised they could cash in right now with a pre-order DLC, so slapped something together on the strategy side. I'll be very surprised if it is not half-assed and lacking compared to the other factions.

If it's free I can't imagine it being something that doesn't already exist in the game. I've seen suggestions of Bretonnia or Chaos Dwarfs. Perhaps the Norse, or one of the mercenary type collections of Estalians, Tileans, ogres, etc. I doubt a major race like Wood Elves or Skaven would appear outside of the sequel/s, at least not in a free DLC anyway.

Indeed. I think that's why they postponed the release for polishing.
The amount of videos they're releasing showcasing the game to the public is very high. I think they're more confident in the product.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

@demde:

How is an industry standardly used DRM shit any indicative of the quality of the product? So let me get it right, if they had a perfect product, no bugs, smartest AI ever, etc., the publisher execs would be like "oh we hæv bæst gæm ever, no need for any prœtection"?
