Everyone can be wrong. Sometimes the difference between what we want to happen and what we think will happen can be blurry.

There is nothing wrong in having hope.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Nothing wrong with hope whatsoever, but there's a stark difference between realistic hope and blind optimism and a refusal to accept reality grinhurt

Pessimism doesn't equal to realism,at this point,claming that a lot of 3D games are going to be at playble state on Xenia or RPCS3 soon,aka in the range of months to few years ,is far more realistic approach then being pessimisic or claming that in "10 years still not being playble".

3D games at decent speed started to get playble recent months on both emulators and thing progressing nicely,that's are the facts.

I really hope this and RDR2 will be on PC. It's a great game and PC gamers should enjoy it as well. Never understood why in hell not releasing it on PC the same time as consoles.

You've been claiming "Soon©" since 2012, quoting articles that were already two years old at the time, while those more levelheaded stated it was more *realistic* to expect 8-10 years before truly playable seventh generation emulators became a reality... and now it's four (and SIX) years later progress is being made. Progress, not playability, but progress.

But hey... here we go! State of Red Dead Redemption emulation in 2016;

Damn straight! I can't wait to play RDR on my PC! 4K upscaled visuals, emulation hacks and bypasses to get 60fps! all aka few months! This year is going to be great

Non of sabin posts are accurates let alone having facts to back it up aside for childish mockings and deform events.

I became "optimistic" after the recent Huge progress on both emulaturs in the end of 2014 to 2015 since then we already having handfull of games at playble state,what could happen in just 2-3 years? Guess what, a lot.

RPCS3 and Xenia went to their "breakthrough" of actually runing commirical games Only in the recent 2 years after years of development before that,now we are seeing more and more games entring in-game to playble state.

@JackQ
I am sorry but I have to agree with the others, it's a little annoying to see hopes for playable games that are years and years away from even being playable, let alone without glitches.

Can we focus more on more realistic stuff? Playable stuff or big leaps in emulation?

For example, I am salty that my PC can't handle pcsx2 in ace Combat games in software mode and there are serious glitches in hardware mode, which actually runs fast enough. So I am hoping that they fix it in hardware mode or with another gfx plugin. Or that I get a new PC Laughing

That's realistic hope. Very Happy

As Couleur mentioned, we have a specific Emo-lation thread Smile : http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52605&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=3690 (It'll probably answer some questions too, I hope!)

Let's leave the poor Red Ded Redemption PC alone, until there is something official (huehue) or 100% working, that directly interests us.

RDR was pretty good, but people tend to exaggerate. It's just another GTA game with a Western skin and a decent story.

"Just another"? How many games (GTA-clones, or just games overall) are as good as GTA?
Every GTA has been great and RDR really deserves the same praise, no matter if they went for another setting.. I think i actually prefer its setting over GTA (in this particular type of genre).

Yeah but i really liked that i was never much into GTA cause of the modern setting it just doesn't really appeal to me, Vice City was pretty much the only one i ever finished.
The Western setting really made this formula playable for me.

Heh, same for me. I do love the GTA games, but i actually only finished GTA:SA and RDR.. i tend to get bored by most games 40-50% in or so..

Currently on a 360 binge lately, while I wait for several indie PC titles to release, and after playing a few RPGs, I've gone back to RDR. The game is a friggin' masterpiece and it's a crime to logic and gaming in general how it has never been released on PC. The game is screaming out for a PC release, the resolution is so bad on 360 and the framework is absolutely horrifying.

Hopefully the XBONE and PS4 get remastered versions and we get a knock-on effect if a port. It's needed, so very badly.

I'm just worried that the eventual successor to RDR won't be as good. The voice-acting, the shooting mechanics (Red Eye etc.), gore, shooting knees so bad guys fall down, shooting throats with blood spurting everywhere, shooting guns so they drop it....

What a fucking amazing game. I think I would actually prefer a remaster to a sequel.
